Europe Tours in August 2026

Our tour guide Oliver was the best guide ever. I have been with many and she was by far the best. I think my most memorable places were just enjoying the history that came along with the tours. I was just in amazement to see the act of God in another whole world 🌍 to me. I just can’t pick one place.

Everything was amazing from start to finish! I especially liked learning more about the ancient ruins of Troy and Ephesus from our guide who not only shared his knowledge but also stories of the time period that really helped.

The itinerary is great but too many of the experiences were ‘optional extras’ making it a very expensive tour. Also some options were missed due to them being booked out - changed from the original info we received and because the tour guide didn’t book ahead knowing it was peak season etc. Disappointing.

Amazing leader Carlos. There were just 2 families in our group with large differences in age range. 8 year 12 and 14. Very different needs in the group (due to age range) but Carlos was brilliant at ensuring there was something for everyone. Kayaking was amazing with beautiful places, and the feeling of freedom on the open sea. He was good at engaging everyone to work together. My daughter wasn't strong enough to dive into the green cave but straight afterwards all the kids/teens dive bombed off the cliffs which she loved. And this made up for the disappointment of not seeing the cave. Really well organised and very enjoyable trip. Definitely recommend.

My tour director and lovely hostess was . She was a true professional, and she presented the history of Ireland to our group throughout our tour in a remarkable format with fact, photography, and humor combined. She provided several unexpected fun surprises and treats along the way and tailored our tour and information to suit us as a group as well as individuals. Her attention to detail was amazing. It was a birthday trip for me and had apparently noted that on her own from my registration info and acknowledged it to me and our tour group with a Happy Birthday song. I appreciated her personal touch with those kinds of niceties. Our coach driver, was excellent. My first European tour with Insight Vacations was exceptional, and I recommend the company and its staff to others.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour. The tour content was excellent, the accommodation also was excellent. The Tour leader and driver could not have been more helpful. I would highly recommend a Back Roads Tour to my family and friends.
