The local guides make the archeological sites come alive. It is easy to see why the monasteries are a UNESCO site. The stop at the family owned olive grove was wonderful in atmosphere, in learning about and tasting olive oil. It was a fabulous lunch and a relaxing atmosphere. The music and dancing were a highlight. The stops for the seaside lunch and in the seaside town were delightful. Insight would be better off letting people find dinner on their own than attending the first 2 hotel dinners that were poor at best. The Greek food is spectacular so to be "provided" such poor meals was a real downfall and not up to Insights normal standards.

The best thing about this trip was our guide, Cryssa! So knowledgeable about history, language and culture and SO much fun! She truly went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our trip. As well, the itinerary itself allowed us time to enjoy the beautiful places we visited. The local experts were wonderful as well, very knowledgeable and personable.

Chose that tour so I could experience the mainland of Greece as well as the islands. Probably would have preferred 2 nights on each island instead of 3 with Crete included. The mainland was beautiful with so much history and excellent local guides. The weather was perfect in May. Would definitely recommend the tour!

Greece has been one of our favorite trip so far. The country is so beautiful & everyone was so nice. Loved the food & the orange pie( cake) was one of our favorite dessert. Our group leader Lisa was outstanding & went way above any other leader we have had.(Wish all of the leaders could be so wonderful!) The place she recommended us to try or see was always great. Thank you insight for our wonderful trip & leader.

Greek Island Wanderer is a great mix of guided tours/walks and free time. Charlotte was fantastic, so patient with explaining several times the same thing, waiting for us oldies to catch up and generally great at her job. Would highly recommend an Explore tour and will do another tour with Explore without hesitation

An amazing way to explore Corfu, and Spiros’ energy and enthusiasm made it even better. We learnt so much about the island, the butterflies, the flowers and so much more. Moving around each day, staying mainly in family run hotels & apartments, was part of the holiday - everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely return next year to do the North part of the trail.
