In Normandy, the focus shifts to World War II history, with visits to three D-Day landing beaches, the Normandy American Cemetery, and the evocative Omaha Beach Signal Monument. Throughout the tour, you’ll travel in comfort—either a Mercedes E220 or a luxurious minivan, depending on party size—and stay overnight in a handpicked hotel near Mont Saint-Michel.

day 1Chambord Castle — Amboise Castle — Chenonceau Castle

07:30 am: Hotel pick up and departure to the Loire Valley. There are 180 km to drive on highway by our comfortable air conditioned vehicle to reach Castle Chambord. The journey takes about 2.5 hours with one stop at the rest area. Along the way, the guide will give you general Information about the French history connected to the Castles of the Loire Valley.
10:00 am – 11:45 am: Guided tour of Chateau de Chambord, one of the most popular castles because of its French Renaissance architecture. The building was constructed from 1519 to 1547 by Francis I, with its 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces and 84 staircases. The castle is also known because of its open double-spiral staircase. The two spirals ascend the three floors without ever meeting. Leonardo da Vinci may have designed the staircase.
11:45 am: Departure to Amboise city (One hour drive)

12:45 pm – 13:45 pm: Lunch time in Amboise city. You'll find many restaurants and cafes in the city. We can also recommend you a good place to eat and make a table reservation.

13:45 pm – 15:00 pm: Take advantage of the skip-the-line access to Royal Chateau d’Amboise. Enjoy the tour of the castle with the help of histopads explaining to you the history of this castle and its rooms. Amboise is the grand 15th-century residence of King Charles VIII and an example of the transition of Gothic to Renaissance architecture. Learn the history of the castle Amboise which is known as birth place of princes, the reign of kings, and the death of the greatest Renaissance master, Leonardo Da Vinci. Here, you can also visit his grave in the chapel.
15:00 pm: Departure to the Chenonceau Castle (20 minutes drive)

15:20 pm – 17:00 pm: Once again we will use skip-the-line access to enter Chateau Chenonceau and its Gardens. Your guide will tell you the history of the castle and its construction. Nicknamed the "ladies’ castle," Chenonceau is associated with famous women of France such as Catherine de Medici, its stunning architecture, and its unique arches over the River Cher. The Renaissance-style Gardens of Chenonceau, with their more than 130,000 flowerings plants, will surely impress you.

17:00 pm: Departure from Chenonceau Castle to Mont Saint-Michel, Normandy (3,5 hours)
20:30 pm: Arrival in Normandy and check in to your hotel located close to Mont Saint-Michel.
