Magical
This hike has been on list since 2020 when we got cancelled due to covid. I was more than thrilled to finally get to experience it. Both David (head guide) and Milky (second guide) were amazing and in my opinion, added a huge value to my overall experience.
The guides, chef, and porters are all amazing. The food on the Inca trail is exceptional. How they do it, I don't know. This is a hard hike but you are well taken care of.
The experience was wonderful. The trek was very hard but Cesar and Federico were always so thoughtful and helpful along the way. The food was amazing, and the porters were so impressive and did so much for us. This was a great experience!
Once in a lifetime experience
I had a great experience hiking the Lares trail and exploring Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. Day 2 was more physically demanding, but the beautiful views made it worth it.
Had absolutely the best time. Our guides Rene and Lucero were so helpful, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The work that the porters did was incredible and the food we had - better than in restaurants. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
We had an incredible experience hiking the Inca trail. We are so glad we chose G Adventures. Our tour leaders (Elias and Edson), porters (#4), and chefs (Orlando and Esteban) were amazing. The experience was very well organized and all of our needs were met during the trip. I will highly recommend G Adventures to others.
I thought this was such an amazing and great trip. Everything ran very smoothly and organized. Our porters (porter group #4) were absolutely tremendous in terms of setting up our campsite and making sure every need or request we had was promptly attended to. I really can't say enough good things about our porter group on this trip they were absolutely amazing. Also, our chefs (Orlando and Esteban) were amazing. The food was soooooo good!! They even cooked a cake for us on day 3 of our trek, none of our group could believe it. I was constantly amazed by how good the food was thanks to our chefs. Also, our guides (Elias and Edson) were wonderful and did a great job looking after everyone and keeping us all safe and organized and on track with our itinerary. I always felt safe with Elias and Edson, and they both did a great job explaining to use a lot about all the Incan history on the trail.
WOW is what comes to mind. Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was a bucket list trip for my husband and myself, and our experience somehow exceeded our expectations. This hike, while challenging and steep at times, is absolutely beautiful, and so so worth it! The morning view of Machu Picchu from the sun gate and walk into the archeological site after 3 days of hiking is so special. We are so grateful to our amazing guide Elias and assistant guide Edison, for giving us a family experience and making this such a special trip. Additionally thanks to our porters and chefs who are the REAL hero?s of the Inca trail by carrying 55lbs of weight through out the hike, especially during the treacherous parts, and for providing such delicious meals, including a cake on the last day (how did they bake a cake on day 3!?) and making sure we were well fed and fueled, making sure our campsite was comfortable and taking care of all of our needs on the hike before we even needed to ask for anything.
