Are you ready for one of Peru’s most revered trekking challenges? Trekking the Inca Trail: 5D/4N is a demanding, guided adventure from Cusco to the iconic Machu Picchu. Over five days, traverse ancient Inca ruins, dramatic mountain vistas, and winding rivers with the support of experienced guides, porters, and cooks. Designed for physically fit travelers and those seeking an authentic connection with Peru’s history, this trek’s USP is the immersive blend of natural splendor and cultural legacy—culminating in the awe-inspiring Lost City of the Incas.
Great quick trip to hit the highlights of Peru!
It was an experience of a lifetime. We were supposed to do Inca Trail however due to the local govt closing the trek we got the option to do Lares Trek which was unreal. We spent the 3rd night in a hotel in Machu Picchu which was great as by that time I was worn out especially being unwell. The overall experience was amazing. G Adventures and their staff are very helpful and they have incredible tour manager. I have definitely made lifetime friends on this tour. Thank you G Adventures
This may not be the Geluxe equivalent of the Inca Trail -- but you're going to think it was! The food was amazing, the porters and chefs were wonderfully accommodating for how hard they work (and they work very, very hard!) and the experience was one in a lifetime. Machu Picchu itself is stunning, but the Inca sites you only get to experience if you take the time to do the hike are not to be missed and make this trip very special.
Fantastic. The food was incredible (especially considering it all had to be carried along the trail by the amazing porters, who were lovely). They even made a huge cake for someone’s birthday. It was great to combine the exercise of trekking at altitude and learning about the history and culture of the place. We were a bit tentative about the size of the group before we joined, but we got on so well with all of them, and have made some really good friends.
So glad that we took this trip now, a great way to connect with friends, nature and people from another country while learning about the Inca , their sacred ways and places
