The places we visited were lovely and/or very meaningful to me. My father and grandfather were US army veterans and while they were not part of the D Day invasion, visiting Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery touched me very deeply. I also enjoyed Rouen and Honfleur and wish we could have spent more time there.

The Itinerary was great -- all the top and important sites in the Loire Valley: Rouen, D-Day landing beaches and importantly the cemetery, Mon-Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo, Tours, Chenonceau, Chartres, and all the points in between.

Overall, the itinerary was very good because it covered many of the places that I wanted to see. I think some of the optional experiences like St. Malo and Cancale should've been added in as part of the itinerary. I wish we had more time in some cities because after taking the guided tour then you had to choose between eating a sit down meal or sightseeing more.

Too many cathedrals. It felt like a pilgrimage trip at times. Normandy beaches were great, although it would have been nice to visit Juno beach. St. Malo should have been on the regular itinerary for everyone. Chateau visits, Leonardo home, Mont St. Michel were all interesting.

Very in-depth tour of Northern France. Every not to be missed attraction was included in addition to some real gems of which I was completely unaware such as beautiful Honfleur. All guides were expert level and extremely helpful.
