Venice and Rome form the bookends of 'The Essential of Italy,' an 11-day guided group tour crafted for the senior traveler. This trip allows you to experience Italy’s cultural heart with thoughtfully arranged accommodation, transport, and meals. The sightseeing itinerary balances famous landmarks with local flavor, ensuring you enjoy Italy’s charm without overexertion. The USP is the stress-free structure—providing seniors with a worry-free way to see Italy’s highlights and hidden gems, all at a gentle, enjoyable tempo.
The App is helpful, but need to have a better idea of where and when we will be arriving at a city. Florence is probably the most interesting place to visit - especially the art, but you had us there on Monday when all of the museums were closed. Plan another day in the week for Florence. Found out that there are 3 Michelangelo sculptures in the Siena cathedral but arrived to late to see them. Too much time walking around inconsequential towns while missing some of the greatest attractions.
The locations were good but the arrangements for the optional excursions could have been better.
I really enjoyed the tour guide: Antonio Rivera. He was very professional, knowledgeable and incredible engaging. He is a people person, with an witty humor and a great personality He was also very attentitve to the groups needs, ensuring everyone was comfortable and had a great time. His storytelling were top-notch, making each stop on the tour both educational and entertaining. For the tour itself, I would prefer to stop in the bigger cities more days-even if I have to remove small towns. Other than that, everything was well organized and taken care of.
I liked the fact that we covered entire North Italy which was really good that we got to see many places
The group was nice so the experience was nice with them
I liked the punctuality of the trip and the fact that everything mentioned in the itinerary was covered.
The itinerary was excellent. covered all the beautiful must see spots in Italy
The tour was good in terms of exposure to Italy but Hotels in certain places were pathetic particularly in Florence and Genoa where the bus was stopped 1 km before the Hotel and we had to drag our luggage to the Hotel. The group was divided into Spanish and English speaking and the Spanish group was put up in superior hotels compared to English speaking, with the tour guide Mr. Tony opting to stay with Spanish group. Even the Upkeep of Hotels in Sienne and Genoa was very bad.

Intense itinerary that covers most of the highlights of Italy. Hotels were mostly good and guides were friendly and helpful. Overall, the trip was pretty well organized.
This trip was incredible….A perfect balance of guided informational tours and free time for exploring your interests. The areas of Italy included were connected thoughtfully with stops in smaller villages between larger metropolitan cities. This divided the travel time into short segments and made the trips between cities enjoyable. We were greeted at the airport with enthusiasm and roses by Joseba and Maxie. Joseba provided us with great advice and then was with us with local Rome expert Mano for a lovely day. For the remainder of the trip our guide Jon was fantastic He was knowledgeable and flexible and fun The trip could not have been better and exceeded all expectations Europomundo made quite an effort to begin this travel season with our tour of Italy and we couldn’t be happier We highly recommend their company and will travel with them again.
