Book this private, guided tour with us and get the chance to visit four beautiful lagoons as well as a traditional Inca bridge still in operation. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at around 5:00 am and head for the south of Cusco to the district of Quehue.
Spend around three hours on road before leaving the vehicle and taking a short walk to see the last Quechua Bridge, Q’eswachaka (also called Queshuachaca). This bridge is built with qoya fibre, a material that is obtained from an autochthonous plant. However, in the past, it was ichu, an altiplánico grass, that was used to make such bridges.
The work of renovating and maintaining this bridge is carried our annually by members of the nearby villages who still use it. See the bridge and learn more about its association with the Incas from your tour guide.
Upon returning from the bridge, we will take short stops to photograph four beautiful lagoons: Laguna Pomacanchi, Laguna Acopia, Laguna Asnaqocha and Laguna Pampamarca. Your day ends on arrival in Cusco at around 6:00 pm. We will drop you off at your hotel in the city.
