Cycle from Porto’s UNESCO-listed splendor to Lisbon’s sun-drenched hills with this self-guided bike tour, perfectly suited for both young adults and seniors eager to blend culture and adventure. Over eight days, travel at your own pace through Portugal’s most iconic cities and charming coastal towns. day 1 - Arrival in Porto
Upon your arrival at the airport, our representative will meet you and take you to Porto city. Here, you will be provided with all the necessary equipment for your tour including bicycle and cargo rack. Following the recommendation of our representative, start your tour by losing yourself in the city's typical neighborhoods that still boasts traces of the medieval period after breakfast.
Then, head to River Douro where Ribeira welcomes you with open arms, inviting you to cross over to the famous port wine cellars where you can try out some of Porto's famous wine. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful soiree in one of the city's famous restaurants, known for its gastronomical delights. After dinner, you will head to your accommodation for the night.
day 2 - Furadouro
After breakfast, you can start your adventure along the Portuguese coast. Enjoy the sea breeze as you pedal along the Atlantic and take in the beautiful scenery of the sea and pine trees.
In the evening, enjoy fresh and authentic seafood at one of the local restaurants recommended by our representative.

day 3 - Furadouro to Aveiro
Have your breakfast and get ready for a visit to the emblematic Ria de Aveiro (also known as the Portuguese Venice). There are several navigable canals that enter the land, allowing you to take a ride on a moliceiro (a type of boat used to collect moliço - a species of algae used as fertiliser). You can also try one of the region's and the country's most famous delicacies—Ovos Moles de Aveiro.
The region is also famous for its salt pans, where salt is extracted like in ancient times. Feel free to roam around and learn more about its production techniques and medicinal qualities.

day 4 - Figueira da Foz
After breakfast, you will head to Terra Nova. Its famous striped houses in different colors is the main attraction of this seaside area.
These houses will accompany you for a large part of your journey today, as you travel through the Mira canal. Between Mira and Figueira da Foz, immerse in the protected landscape of Dunas de Mira, Gândara e Gafanha (a site of community importance, with significant native fauna and flora). This wealth of landscapes goes hand in hand with the region's fantastic dishes.
Of course, the proximity of the sea means that fish is king, with specialties such as caldeirada (fish stew) and raia (ray) being particularly famous, but don't forget the sardinha na telha (sardines on the shingle).
Then, you will head to Figueira da Foz, the final destination for today, where you can enjoy one of the longest stretches of sand in Portugal.

day 5 - Nazaré
Have your breakfast and then head south, along the silver coast (named after the glittering reflection of the sea water) towards the Pinhal de Leiria. Then, cross S. Pedro do Moel, an important seaside resort. As you travel, delight yourself with fresh fish and don't miss out on sea bream and sea bass.
Your tour for today ends in Nazaré, a fishing village known worldwide for its giant waves, which attracts surf enthusiasts from all over the world every year.

day 6 - Nazaré to Óbidos
Have your breakfast and get ready for another day of adventure. Today, you will visit two of Portugal’s most emblematic villages—Nazaré and Óbidos. Nazaré is one of the most typical and famous Portuguese fishing villages. Make sure to try out the fish—the most famous are the caldeirada à moda da Nazaré, the grilled sardines, and of course the fresh and exquisite seafood, enjoyable at any time of year.
Then, head to Óbidos. This town is situated on a high point a few kilometers from Lisbon. Its rich heritage with plenty of tile decoration and well-preserved whitewashed houses, narrow streets and colorful patios are sure to impress you.
A leisurely stroll through the town will take you back in time. However, don’t end your adventure in Óbidos without highlighting the gustatory delights - the fish from the Óbidos Lagoon accompanied by local wine, and the Ginginha, served in a chocolate cup.

day 7 - Lisbon
Your final cycling tour will be in the capital—Lisbon. Our representative will organize your transfer to Lisbon so that you can spend the whole day getting to know the city facing the Tagus.
Enjoy a city flooded with light and let yourself get lost in its streets and typical neighborhoods, not missing a visit to the monuments that represent Portugal's history—the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower. Each of Lisbon's neighborhoods tells its own story. All of them sung by the poets and fado singers who chose Lisbon as their muse. The city of the seven hills combines the traditional with the contemporary; where you'll find spots of modern art in perfect harmony that reveal a city that is both typical and cosmopolitan. For the evening, you can book a unique experience with dinner in a fado house, tasting the most typical Portuguese tapas to the sound of the "national song", Fado, classified as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2011.
day 8 - Departure
Have your breakfast and check out of your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. We hope you had a wonderful holiday.
