What an amazing week we have had in the French Alps! It was the first time we have travelled with Exodus and would certainly travel with them again. So well organised from start to finish, from the information given beforehand, the pick ups, accommodation, hospitality, food and hikes. All amazing! The quality of food produced by Carolina and Seb was top class. Our guide Adrian was so kind, funny and knowledgeable of this area he made hiking so enjoyable.
Amazing experience with a very knowledgeable guide.
Great: the chalet, the hosts, Chamonix, the guide, the hikes, the rest day, my fellow hikers Not great: the altitude, at least at the beginning, then I got more used to it
Each daily hike was carefully curated by our guide to best fit our group and the weather to showcase the Mont Blanc Tour. Breathtaking! The hospitality shown through our accommodation and food was excellent.
A superb week . Fantastic accommodation, delicious nutritional food
I did this trip in May, the trip itself was excellant. The accomodation in Chalet Bediere was clean and comfortable and the food supplied by Sandro and Violeter was superb (the evening meals, lunch provisions and afternoon cake). I am an experienced hiker and did not find the walks too challenging.
This was my first exodus trip and everything was catered for, our chalet Le Bediere was comfortable and our hosts Sandro and Vieletta were so accommodating and welcoming, they cooked delicious meals every evening and freshly baked cakes to welcome us home after our hikes which were so delish and gratefully received! Also happy to recommend good restaurants, spa locations and other ideas for days off activities. The chalet was clean and comfortable, a wee home from home. Our group of 7 got on great, we bonded during the hikes, chats and meals together, everyone was encouraging and supportive, many interesting chats were had along the ways. Some parts of each hike are challenging but our guide Mark set the pace just right and looked after the entire squad very well. Chamonix is busy and vibrant, there was a jazz festival on during our visit and lots of shops and restaurants and things to do. The chalet is perfectly placed to enjoy everything right on the doorstep, only good vibes noted.
This was our first Exodus adventure and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The majesty of the Mont Blanc region was awe-inspiring! The challenging treks were carefully planned and each revealed an unexpected bonus: a glacial lake, a swinging suspension bridge over a raging stream, a beautiful waterfall, a mountaintop cafe, the ringing sound of cowbells in mountain valleys, and even authentic Italian gelato! The entire trip was eventful and well executed. Airport transportation, mealtimes and hiking departures were timely and convenient. Lodging a t Chalet Chalupa was comfortable and our hosts, Carolina and Sebastien, served delicious and varied meals after a full day of exercise. In addition to our amazing guide, Adrian, we were fortunate to be included in a cohesive and lively group of seven other hikers. This made the trip even more enjoyable and memorable.
Our diverse group of seven (Saudi Arabia, UK, US) stayed at La Bédière, perfectly located to enjoy Chamonix. Everyone was friendly, interesting, and considerate, creating a great group dynamic. Our leader, Mark, brought experience to the hikes, making sound decisions and inspiring confidence. Violetta and Sandro, our caretakers, were thoughtful, responsive, and attentive. Their meals were delicious, and the post-hike cakes were appreciated. This experience was truly special, with excellent leadership, warm hospitality, and stunning surroundings. I highly recommend this trip.
My recent trekking adventure around Mont Blanc was nothing short of spectacular, a truly unforgettable journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth. Every turn offered a new vista, from the majestic snow-capped peaks to the vibrant alpine meadows, all bathed in the crisp mountain air. The sheer scale and beauty of the scenery were truly humbling, making every step a joy. Equally commendable were our wonderful group leader and hosts. Their warm hospitality and the delicious, hearty meals they provided after long days of trekking were a highlight. Each meal was a culinary delight, offering a true taste of local flavors and providing the perfect fuel for our adventures. This trip was a perfect blend of challenging trekking, stunning natural beauty, and genuine human connection. Highly recommended!
Chamonix and the Mont Blanc massif are truly one of the world’s alpine splendors. The peaks and alpine glaciers envelop the valley with a gorgeous and stately majesty. The Mont Blanc Highlights ended up being the perfect level of challenge for me, with daily hikes of 6-8 miles and more importantly, 2,500-3,000 feet of elevation gain to an altitude of over 7,000 feet most days. Make sure you are in good condition and have good climbing boots so that you can enjoy the views with minimal discomfort. Our Chalet Chalupa was a nice home for the week, with Carol and Sebastien providing daily meals and comfy beds to allow recovery for the next day’s adventures. No laundry facilities here - take what you’ll need for the week. Our hosts also ferried us around in vans to each day’s hike start point where not supported by the valley’s excellent transit system. All the trails are very well maintained and the views - from someone who always thought the Yosemite Valley was the quintessential hikers paradise - the Mont Blanc massif just has to be seen to be believed. Life changing.
Great week of scenic and challenging mountain hikes led by Adrian who is an extremely fit, enthusiastic and knowledgeable mountain guide leader with a great sense of humour! Based a short bus ride outside of the pretty town of Chamonix in a lovely catered chalet, which is hosted by the amazing Sebastien and Carolina , who provided a clean, comfortable and friendly home from home environment during our stay. They kept us extremely well fed and watered. There were fresh baked croissants for breakfast and a delicious cake or pastry waiting on our return in the afternoons, followed by a delicious home cooked three course dinner. They also did a great job ferrying us around to trailheads and bus stops in the minibus.
The grandeur of the Mont Blanc massif is incredible to witness. The hiking was diverse, offering a fresh feel to each forest, peak and trail. I was amazed every step of the way and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I didn't know views could be so break taking! Chamonix was a beautiful charming town - it was a great place to end each day.
Wonderful and varied walks from the comfortable chalet chalupa -run in an enthusiastic and welcoming way by Sebastian and Caro . The food was excellent and varied
Just back from the most amazing week in the Alps. Breath-taking views on every walk. Level of walking requires some effort but very manageable. Our tour guide Tim was wonderful. Organised, patient, very knowledgeable about the area, flora & fauna and as a bonus he is an exceptional photographer so our group have come home with professional photographs of our trip. Caro & Sebastien run Chalet Chalupa & they looked after us so well. There were freshly baked treats to come back to every day & delicious 3 course meals every night. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a single thing about this trip & would highly recommend it to anyone.
My recent trekking adventure with Exodus was truly exceptional. The hospitality at Chalet Chalupa with Caro & Sebastian was outstanding, and the support from our guide was incredible. Caro and Sebastian, the chalet managers, created a warm, home-like atmosphere with consistently delicious food, including perfect buffet to pack our lunches. The hikes offered a brilliant mix of terrains and elevation, leading to breathtaking views, which were wonderful to share with fellow trekkers.
No disappointments with the accommodations, food, transportation or schedule. The guide Augustine was remarkable. He is a gifted leader- his skills were first rate with communication, integrity and the ability to unify complete stranger into a team.
Agu was a kind, thoughtful and generous leader throughout our time together. He quickly assessed everyone’s ability and guided us accordingly. This was truly an incredible trip with the most breathtaking views I’ve seen. The accommodations were first class with home cooked meals by our amazing chef! Highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a great time in the mountains.
Mt Blanc trekking was a bucket list trip for me. I could never have picked a better guide, chalet hosts and group to check this off my list with! Augustine, our guide, was amazing and fun. He planned amazing treks each day and provided excellent commentary. Carolina and Sebastian were awesome hosts, the meals were amazing and they were always available when needed a d gracious. Our group became great friends on the first hike and we laughed, joked and enjoyed every step of the hikes. Everyone was very supportive and entertaining! Thank you all for an amazing trip.
If we could give Augustine, our guide, a million stars, we would! He took us on some extraordinarily scenic hikes, and expertly tailored it to our own individual skill levels. We appreciated that! Augustine created a great team spirit, and his knowledge of mountain and climbing history, along with his humor, added to the enjoyment! The chalet hosts, Sebastian and Carmelita, were utterly amazing. Their humor and generosity with their time and the excellent meals, created a light and fun atmosphere. It could not have been a nicer, more relaxed and fun experience.
Absolutely brilliant trip
This trip really delivered exactly what it promised. Spectacular views of the Alps from all sides! Unforgettable!
A superb trip! A great itinerary and a great guide. Despite our mixed weather our excellent guide Adrian made sure we saw the best of everything.
We absolutely loved this trip . Our chalet hosts Caro and Seb were se welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them . The food was plentiful and healthy. Our guide Adrian was excellent. He had an ability guide safely ensuring our enjoyment without treating us like military trainees. He achieved a perfect balance of friendliness and yet a safe group control. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip
What an unforgettable experience! I won’t lie—it was physically challenging, but the reward was more than worth it. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Our guide, Agustine, was incredibly kind and patient (especially when I fell behind the group a few times). He was always calm and encouraging, truly embodying a “Buddha state of mind.” Nothing seemed to faze him—such an amazing person! My friend and I stayed at The Bediere Chalet, and all I can say is—wow. The location was stunning, and the chalet itself felt like a dream home for the week, with the most spectacular views. Our hosts, Sandro and Violetta, were just fantastic—so full of life, warmth, and humor. Their delicious cooking and cheerful, cheeky spirits made every day even more special. If you asked me right now, “Would you do this tour again?” — my answer would be a resounding yes. I walked away with such clarity of mind, a refreshed perspective on my priorities, and truly some of the best memories. If you're someone like me—often buried in work and in need of a change of pace—this experience is exactly what you need

Really enjoyed this trek around Mont Blanc. Breathtaking views of snowcapped mountains. Our hosts Zandro and Violetta were so friendly and helpful and served up delicious food every day. Varied treks every day, led by Agu who was THE BEST LEADER ever. So knowledgeable about the area and very helpful, especially when he fixed my rucksack!!🤭😁 Most of all he was great fun as were the group.
The accommodation was amazing, the food delicious, the itinerary balanced and the group leader? Augustine was awesome!
In so many ways this trip was not stressful. To be able to do so many wonderful things and not have any issues or concerns made a strenuous hiking holiday relaxing and enjoyable.
We’ve just returned from the Mont Blanc Highlights hiking trip, and it was unforgettable—largely thanks to our incredible guide, Adrian. From day one, Adrian set the tone with energy, humour, and crystal-clear briefings that made every hike feel exciting and manageable. His knowledge of the trails are amazing and the views are absolutely stunning. Adrian struck the perfect balance: relaxed and fun, yet always professional and organised. His enthusiasm and calm leadership turned a great trip into an outstanding one. He made us feel safe, challenged, and totally immersed in the mountain magic. Can’t recommend this trip—and Adrian—highly enough. (We even wrote him a poem... that’s how good he was!)
We had an incredible time on our recent trip to Mont Blanc! Adrian encouraged us to push ourselves during the hikes and that we did! He led our group with an excitement and energy that kept us going!! Sandro and Violetta made our stay at the chalet feel like home and they both made sure we had dairy free options/meals throughout the day. I looked forward to Violetta’s gluten and dairy free cakes every day after our arduous hikes! I think we really lucked out with having the loft as our room for the week. We woke up to the sunrise over the mountains every morning and it was truly a sight to see. And our group of fellow travelers is one I will remember fondly!
This holiday was a wonderful blend of physical challenge, beautiful scenery and charming culture. We returned home refreshed and already thinking of our next hiking adventure!
I recently returned from an unforgettable hiking trip with Exodus, exploring the breathtaking Mont Blanc highlights, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived in Chamonix, we were enveloped by the stunning beauty of the Alps. Our chalet was a true gem, offering incredible views of Mont Blanc that made every morning feel magical. Chamonix itself is a vibrant hub, bursting with life, charming shops, and delicious eateries. Even though we experienced a couple of cloudy and rainy days, the weather didn’t dampen our spirits or our hikes. In fact, the dramatic skies only added to the allure of the landscape, enhancing the beauty of each trail we traversed.
Hiking on Mont Blanc, even late in the season was an experience not to be missed. The weather, though mixed, never stopped our itineraries and we had glorious sunshine on several days. Chamonix and the mountain range are awesome, naturally, but it was the combination of the area with the most welcoming and caring chalet team and the warm artistic vibe of the Art Deco Chalet Bediere that gave this trip such a special place in my heart. Jeffry Oonk, an erudite biologist as well as an experienced and patient mountain guide gave expert guidance and confidence on every section (some quite challenging) of the trails; his instruction, patience and good humour, coupled with a quiet “Well Done” at the end of each trek, was so up-lifting. Clare and Liz made Chalet Bediere a warm and welcoming place; they both went to huge efforts to provide a happy atmosphere, excellent and varied meals and some of the most delicious cakes for afternoon tea, you could imagine. I’m so happy that I was assigned to this particular chalet, with such a brilliant team. We had a small but fabulous group of five; conversations on the hikes and in the chalet were stimulating and full of banter and laughter. I honestly was gutted to leave and end the experience. Thank you to both our chalet team and my group for the most memorable week 💖
A great week's walking in the mountains around Mont Blanc. First off, a big thank you to the team - Jeffry, Liz and Clare - who were excellent. We had pretty good weather given that it was the end of the season. In fact the first day was spectacular - blue skies and sunshine - making for some memorable photos. Jeff is an exemplary guide, showing amazing dedication to his job. He gave us all the information we wanted and more - he's quite fond of plants me thinks, and knows a lot about them. Our walks always started with a through warm up session, and then the ascent could begin. Quite steep sometimes, but Jeff was always on hand to help anybody of a more nervous disposition on the more challenging sections. And if all that wasn't enough - he has a good sense of humour too. Liz and Clare were expert chalet hosts - the breakfast was just right, and there was even porridge offered on some days. The lunch items were varied and tasty, and the cake waiting for us at the end of each walk was very welcome. Really nice food for dinner too. Plenty of variety throughout the week. The chalet La Bedière is based in Chamonix and for me is the best of the three on offer unless you really like hot tubs. Nicely furnished, amazingly warm and good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Centrally located - just ideal.
Overall a wonderful week. Jeffrey our hiking guide was the best ever as expressed by experienced group travelers. It was my first group hiking experience and he helped me so much giving so many pointers and encouragement. The Chalet Chocolat was adequate. We had the most spacious room. But the Chalet was tough around the edges and could use some modernization. The meals were overall good. Some dishes were excellent but some not so great. Needed more protein for dinner and a little more variety at breakfast.
The guide and staff at the Chalet were great. Hikes were challenging and fun with great views. Food was wonderful. Great Trip!
Mont Blanc is truly spectacular. Our guide Adrian was exceptional and fun! He changed our hiking schedule as necessary to ensure the best experiences and amazing views . We stayed at Chalet Chalupa in Les Houches. The short bus or train ride into Chamonix was very easy, with our guide showing us all the necessary stops. Our hosts were kind and always helpful. The only improvement I would suggest is offering two dinner options.
Just home from a fab week based in Les Houches, where we felt so at home in a comfortable, happy environment, meeting people from all over the world. Laura, our chalet host looked after us so well with good home made food, suitable for physical demands of the trekking.
Just returned from a wonderful week in and around Chamonix. Our group leader Adrian was fantastic at selecting the perfect route for weather condition and amazing views. He enhanced the group experience challenging and entertaining us. The chalet was comfortable with a lovely bunch of people and a kind and helpful chalet host Laura .
Wow! What an amazing trip! Breathtakingly beautiful! Tim expertly led us through some stunning trails. Clare and Liz were perfect chalet hosts.
A huge thank you to our fantastic hosts Sol and Tom as well as to our wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide Tim. This was a great week!
A brilliant week, well looked after by chalet hosts and expert guide.
This week was absolutely perfect. You get to see the best parts of the TMB, and each hike itself was different with a different perspective/landscape! Our hosts, Tom and Sol, did an amazing job making us delicious food and hosting us all week. It was so wonderful staying in the same spot all week!
Very enjoyable week
The scenery in the Chamonix valley is stunning and this trip is well named as it certainly highlighted the highlights. Our group stayed in Chalet Chapula and we couldn't have asked for better hosts or chalet companions. Laura and Gonzalo provided us with excellent meals every day and were very approachable and helpful. Les Houches is a busy but laid back area of Chamonix and a great location to start our walks from.
An unbelievably beautiful part of the world, crossing corners of three countries each as beautiful as each other. Based in Les Houches, just 20 minutes outside Chamonix, we stayed in Chalet Chalupa, a modern, spacious comfortable chalet with all the amenities you would need and more. Big bedrooms, all with en-suite and most with a balcony. A hot tub outside for relaxing the aching bones after the walks just adds to the luxury. Whilst we were a bit out of Chamonix, the public bus service was excellent, every 30 minutes promptly. Equally, there is plenty on offer in Les Houches if you want to stay local to the chalet. Our hosts, Laura and Gonzalo, had treats to welcome us, provided breakfast, lunch (packed) and dinner of excellent standards every day (apart from the free day of course when breakfast is provided but not lunch or dinner). We didn’t go hungry!
I really loved the week. The walks were stunning, and it was great to be able to have to plan nothing, just be taken for amazing day walks. More solo walkers in the group than I had expected which was good for me being one myself (rather than being the odd one out amongst couples) and the group were really good company. I stayed in Chalet Chocolat, the location was great, a 20 min walk outside the lovely Chamonix, or a few mins on the train the station for which is just a couple of minutes away (and you are given a weeks ticket on arrival). The food provided was very tasty (many thanks Sol and Tomas), the bedrooms a bit basic but wasn't staying for a luxury trip, rather for the walking so that was fine, and they were ensuite which is what matters for me. Highly recommended, I just wish I could do the week for the first time again.
Fabulous day hikes with the comforts of the same bed for the length of the trip.
As we have always found with Exodus this trip was well organised with good accommodation and a varied programme of walks. We had the added bonus of sharing the trip with a nice group of people. We stayed at Chalet Chalupa and enjoyed Les Houches which is a little further out from Chamonix but all the transport worked well as the trip covers all parts of the valley. We took advantage of the hot tub on several occasions after the days walking!

Wonderful week walking around Chamonix-Mont Blanc. Well-planned routes taking in all aspects of the Chamonix valley plus Val Ferret. Stunning views of jagged mountain peaks above flower-strewn meadows, with snowy Mont Blanc looming over all.
Five days of challenging but thoroughly enjoyable walking through the wonderful Alpine surroundings. Mountain View’s at every turn and lovely alpine forests with enchanting bird song. We had a great group, good accommodation very close to Chamonix
All the Chalets were amazing, although I only stayed in Chalet Bediere, I saw the others which all had their own unique selling points. The hikes were great with charming views of Chamonix and the mountains. It was a challenge on the warmer days but very rewarding!
A really well balanced week of walking with some challenging and tricky walks but always rewarded with stunning views. Our guide ensured we enjoyed the best weather for our walks by being flexible with the schedule. First class hosts and guide which made the holiday such a memorable experience, together with great accommodation and a lovely group of people to share the holiday with.
