Italian Holiday

Covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of places, but we did not do all the optional experiences (our choice) and felt we had enough time to relax at our own pace.

Fast paced- jam packed tour mostly one night stays. We saw alot in a week. Good for people to get a taste of Italy but wouldn't do a tour anything under ten days.

Itinerary was great! We had a great trip and our tour guide was exemplary. I would highly recommend Trafalgar for other tours.

It was so well planned and filled with so much to do and see. Very wonderful experience and our tour guide was and she was so great to be around. Loved Italy.

We had an amazing time. This was our first trip overseas and we enjoyed the fact everything was taken care of for us and the itinerary was so well planned out. We will definitely want to do another tour in the future.

It was so much fun specially for us cause it was our first time with trafalgar. The guide director was incredibly helpful nice organized knowledgeable and very friendly! The driver was amazing and we felt very safe in the coach. My wife and I will definitely do another trip with trafalgar.

I understood there would be walking but for those of us in our fourth quarter in life we were frequently the slower ones in the group. Many of times the group had to stop and wait for us slower walkers to catch up. At that point they got a slight rest as we caught up and got none. The saving grace of this was completing a bucket list item of walking the Spanish Steps, which was concluded downward. Climbing up would have been impossible since my knees were on fire at that point. In all, I had a wonderful time and fulfilled a greater part of my bucket list.

this was a very fast paced itinerary, but it was well planned, tickets were always purchased ahead of time to avoid waiting in line. Our accommodations were great, always having a continental breakfast to start our day. did an amazing job narrating along the way, as did the local guides. was our driver and he was awesome maneuvering the bus, always getting us as close as possible to our destination. We appreciated having the Vox Box, so we were always able to hear the narration, even if we weren't super close to the guide. We would highly recommend Trafalgar!

It was definitely fast paced touring... a lot of walking but for my 12 yr old and I, it was so worth it! We learned so much about Italy and we will cherish it forever.

This itinerary is perfect if you want to see as much of Italy as you can in a week. Our travel director, and driver, were excellent in providing a wonderful travel experience! Our family took advantage of all the optional excursions to be able to truly enjoy all Italy can offer in a short time.

I had an outstanding time on this trip. I got to see and do a lot in the limited amount of time that was allotted. I would also like to express my greatest gratitude to the Tour Guide. This man was a consummate professional and made the whole experience simply superb. I would absolutely recommend this experience and especially the guide to others.

Great pace for the # of cities and sites. Local guides were amazing and fun. Hotels were overall nice and unique.

Our family had an amazing trip and an even better travel director *personal info removed by Feefo*! We went to Italy for the first time and even though it was a whirlwind schedule we saw all the major sites and cities. The knowledge of *personal info removed by Feefo* and the local guides used made everything come to life and immersed us in the moments. The only thing I would say that would be an area to improve was the dining options. Most of the meals were at the hotels and they were okay but the meals we had at local restaurants or destinations were so good.

Our tour director and bus driver was outstanding. Stellar service throughout our trip.

The itinerary was great extras were great, the extras should be defined as filling all your time and by not taking them leaves you with lots of time on your own.

I had a great time.Host was great. Our driver was excellent. I would use Trafalgar again. The only thing I would do different is make it a 2week trip instead of one.

I can’t imagine a more perfect trip to Italy!! My daughter and I went for her senior trip, and we both made memories that will last a lifetime. Everything we did was well thought out, efficient, and magical. Our tour guide, and our driver, were both phenomenal and really made our trip exceptional. I highly recommend this trip to anyone! It was truly perfect!!

Our trip was beautiful. We enjoyed walking through the cities and being immersed in Italian culture. Great Travel Director and Driver . Great Local Specialists. We had a really good time!!! Hotels were nice, coach was very clean and new. We will always have great memories!!

It's an aggressive trip, but well worth it.

We had so much fun! Our tour director and our tour driver were the best. They took good care of us. Waited for those who got lost and there is always free water on board our bus after every excursion. Truly a very memorable experience.

Well planned out itinerary was not jam packed especially if one chose not to do the optional experiences. We covered a lot of area so there was a great deal of travel time. I searched for an affordable tour for a short period. You get a taste of things and everything met my realistic expectations. Visiting St. Peter’s Basilica was not possible when the group visited Vatican City, but we had time that day to do it on our own instead of going back to the hotel to rest. We had two days before the tour and an additional one day after so we were able to do many things on our own including a cooking class, Trastevere at night, and visiting the other 3 Basilicas with holy doors and the Holy Cross of Jerusalem church (which has Passion of Christ relics!!) .

Fantastic tour of Italy! and were the best and made sure that we had fun and safe trip. The local specialists were also very good at each location. We made memories that will last a lifetime.

Busy 7 days but we'll worth it. Our tour director was fabulous. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to take this type of vacation.

Excellent tour guide, tours, hotels, service My 20 year old son and I were quickly put at ease with the welcome from our guide Roberto. The hotel in Rome was top notch. The excursions allowed us to make every minute of our trip valuable and enjoyable. The bus driver was skilled and knowledgeable. The tour guide at the Vatican managed us quickly through lines and crowds explaining and teaching the entire time. We explored the streets of Rome and toured the Coliseum with fascinating information. Our meals were delicious. We became family with fellow travelers. My son made friends with a few other kids his age. We enjoyed meeting other couples to share our experiences with. Venice was incredible. I highly recommend the glass blowing tour. Our guide made the journey smooth and pleasant by entertaining us with stories, providing little treats, and pointing out interesting sights along the way. We toured Verona, got caught in a downpour, learned about a family owned olive oil business, viewed casters and cathedrals and amazing Tuscan sunsets. We took pictures at the Leaning Tower of pizza and lastly explored Florence, our favorite city to just meander and soak in the sculptures, piazzas, and authentic Italian atmosphere. We got to see so much, learn about art and culture, taste the fabulous foods of Italy, and come back in the evening to comfortable clean hotels. I felt pampered, safe, and happy the whole trip. My son was so amazed and appreciative . It was an invaluable time for us to bond and share such a special trip.

This trip was very organized , allowed us to experience Italian history and culture every day, and best of all- with the best tour guide. was fantastic and made each day special. The food was always top notch. The accommodations were very comfortable and conveniently located. As with all Trafalgar tours, we made lifelong friends along the way. Thanks to Trafalgar for making this happen.

The itinerary was great and we got to see a lot in a short amount of time. We were up at 6am and didn’t stop until 9-10pm at night. Lots of walking but it was very hot. There was not a lot of free time to do our own thing. The dinners could use some improvement. Felt like we were eating the same thing every night. We loved the Roman meal on our second night at a local restaurant and then another one we did on our own in Florence. We were hoping the trip would have included more of a sampling of the foods tied to the country or each region. The tours we made to the local artisan type shops (leather, gold and glass) were a little disappointing. We were expecting to see more of how the items were made and their history but it felt more like going to a used car lot. The sales people converge on you after their pitch and it’s all about getting a sale and the items were not cheap. The best part of the trip were our guides! Our travel guide Giuseppe and driver Giuliano were awesome as well as all the local guides we had! They were the highlight of the trip. Giuseppe went out of his way to make sure my 90 year father was taken care of and stayed back with him when he had to pass on some of the tours due to the excessive heat and walking. All in all it was a good trip for my family especially for traveling to Italy for the first time.

The entire tour was very good. Our tour guide Giuseppe was outstanding. The heat was the only problem.

It was packed with activity! I would describe our itinerary as the Sampler Appetizer. We had a taste of everything and now we know what we would like to order more of - ie which cities we’d like to visit again but for a longer period of time. We never felt rushed, but we were certainly on the go throughout our entire trip!

We fit a lot into a short trip! It does get pretty tiring walking around if you are doing all of the excursions, it's a fast paced trip, but there is a fair amount of down time on the bus traveling between cities.

This is a very fast pace not mild as suggested. If you're not up to walking or standing in the heat for long periods? I would rethink this tour. But overall the tour was very informative!!! Also if you're looking for a more smaller tour group - again that's your choice but in the end these people have became your new found vaction family.
