Best tour guide and driver you could ask for. We were completely comfortable and safe in their hands. It is the first Trafalgar tour we have done, in fact the first organised tour of this kind and we would definitely do it again. Thank you and !!
The experience was fabulous and covered key attractions and was well planned out to gain as much of the sights and memories to cherish for a lifetime! Fast paced and lot of territory to cover, plenty of walking, but well worth it. Highly recommend Trafalger.
While the trip was filled with wonderful daily tours, we specifically booked this tour of (4) four to see the stature of David. I was greatly disapppointed that the schedule was not changed somehow to see this world famous stature. How does your company replace such a missed long awaited highlight? So disappointing. Was there someway we could have been notified way in advance that David was not to be visited?
our tour director Giuseppe was absolutely fantastic 10 out of 10 Vincenzo the bus driver 10 out of 10 I did find the first three days in Rome very rushed, but I absolutely enjoyed the whole vacation
It was a fantastic trip. I felt like we covered a lot in a short period of time. I didn’t expect all the extra tipping ( local specialist) also some of the extra experiences were expensive. All in all no regrets it was a wonderful vacation and would definitely recommend Trafalger.
Overall, this experience was excellent. We arrived to our tour a day early and had no problems with the Trafalgar arranged airport transport to the hotel. Our Travel Director, driver, and local experts were all top notch. Our Travel Director kept everything organized and on point and she was warm and personable. She was well-loved by the group! Never had to worry about any of the logistics, which allowed us to just focus on enjoying the travels and sights. Excellent driver who made us all feel safe and kept our bus in spotless condition! Very comfortable ride. He also had a really lovely personality. We had a lot of local experts and most of them were well-versed in their subject matter. We had one in Rome who was exceptional, so passionate and brought everything we saw to life! She was so amazing. Another in Venice also provided the same experience. Be prepared for long days. We were out the door for breakfast by 7AM and on the bus for optional experiences around 7:30 a.m. most days and returned some days as late as 10PM. Lots of walking...buy the best shoes you can! If you don't choose the optional experiences, you can manage your time to fit in more rest, but I must say I do not regret selecting all but one of the optional experiences even though the pace was tiring. The hotel in Rome was great and the hotel in Venice nice. The rest were average. Be prepared for small shower spaces and steamy bathrooms from no ventilation. Hotel breakfasts were a lot of pastries, cold meats, cheeses, unpeeled hard-boiled eggs, sometimes scrambled eggs, cold cereals (good selection), and very thin yogurt (not Greek yogurt if you're accustomed to that). The orientation dinner was not great food, but that was the only bad one. The other included meals and the optional experience meals were excellent. They don't seem to use a lot of ice in Italy. Even in restaurants, you just get a small amount of ice. I truly missed an ice-cold drink while there. On the plus side, the quality of the drinking water, especially in Rome, was amazing. We had great people in our tour group and a lot of interesting conversations and fun times were had! We saw a lot in the 11 days of the tour and I don't feel like anything was missed. I would've loved more time in Florence and more time to explore Sorrento, but this did not detract from my enjoyment of the trip. I recommend it highly.
Saw a lot of sites, local specialists and our tour guide and bus driver were excellent
Tyson, our tour director, was knowledgeable, kind, well organized and exceptional. We saw everything I wanted to see and more. Tour was well organized and superb. I will be booking another Trafalgar Tour in the near future.
