Loved the itinerary
Wonderful bus that was comfortable. Most hotels were nice, some were not as up to par. Organized and fun.
The Spain & Portugal cities/quaint towns that you visit are stunning. This tour takes you to places that you would never know to visit (as a general tourist). The information provided by our tour guide, prior to reaching each destination was so informative. The local guides also provided so much knowledge about their unique city. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see all of the beautiful places as a "tapas" - taste of each city - experience.
Perfect jam packed itinerary. Lots of quaint towns and big cities included. Good value for money. Hotels were clean. Breakfast is okay nothing great but helps you get a fill and start rhe busy days. Coach is very comfortable and driver takes lots of care to keep it cool and clean.
The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, encompassing a wide array of stops and towns within the allotted time. However, I would suggest that a bit more time could have been devoted to certain sites of significant importance, particularly to locations like Fatima, where the spiritual and historical depth warrants a more immersive experience.
Truly, the best way to see major spots around Spain and Portugal is in just less than 2 weeks. The pacing is quite fast but not overwhelming, and all age groups can feel at ease with the sites and activities. Great mix of experiences from gastronomy to sightseeing. Highly recommend this trip for those wanting to hit most of the spots in Spain and Portugal.
The late announcement of the last hotel in Madrid was poor. It damaged some travellers plans and was not a good choice for travellers. It was too far out of Madrid to enjoy the city yet was landlocked by freeways preventing enjoyment of local suburbs.
Great itinerary, however it didn’t always match what had been communicated online or in initial communications and we therefore had tickets for things during which we thought would be free time and wasn’t. In the end it all worked out and we were just a bit rushed with things Website should be clearer about Hotel locations. The hotels were very clean and the breakfasts much better than we expected, however the hotels were quite a way out of town which added expenses we weren’t expecting for when we wanted to travel in on our free time.
I read the reviews ahead of time so I knew we were responsible for our own luggage, getting to the hotels from the airport and that the hotels were out of the city center a bit. That is why the trip was more cost effective than other tours that visit similar cities. I like it that breakfasts are included as a quick way to start our day. Our tour guide treated us to a few extras here and there as a surprise. Also when our itinerary had to change due to sporting events in the area, he got us close to the area for a slice of what we couldn't visit.
We chose this tour because it fitted in our schedule. We have used Costsaver before and would do so again in the future.
A well priced holiday. Optional tours at extra costs allow flexibility to suit individual ability, preferences and budgets. Quite a fast paced holiday, but many sites seen.
