Barcelona Tours and Trips

The hotel chosen in Madrid was not up to standard. Our luggage was delivered to the wrong room and not found for 11/11/2 hours. Just got sorted and they had to change our room because air con wasn’t working. Also there was not enough food at the dinner buffet on the last night. Those of us at the end of the line faced empty dishes that were not replaced. I ended up with soup and cheese and biscuits and some vegetables. Definitely not up to Insight standards.

I loved the full tour, and both tour directors. My complaint would be that it was a bit confusing on the last day, as the tour covered what we'd already seen, beginning in Barcelona. We were assisted (by the tour director, Sonia) in planning an alternate excursion, so it worked out OK.

We enjoyed the trip, at times it was hectic but we understand this to see everything that we did. Our only complaint was and we feel very strongly about this was Madrid by night with dinner. We understand that due to unforeseen circumstances the venue was changed which we do not have a problem with. The meal was way below sub standard and the entertainment performed by the staff at the changed venue was not what we expected. We understood that it was by local entertainers not by the staff who work at the venue. We feel by paying 76 Euros for that evening was not acceptable. We would rate this optionable experience 3 out of 10. Apart from this experience the trip was great. We have done many tours with Insight Vacations and would highly recommend them.

This itinerary hit all of the must see cities plus so many extra surprises. Like our tour director told us on Day 1 it’s big it’s busy and it’s amazing!

Beautiful ports of call. There are a lot of places we stopped,so the trip is for those in shape and able to walk distances. Most of the guides were very good. The architecture of the countries is remarkable.

The content of the itinerary was fabulous! Anne Elyse is the gold standard of tour directors. She was so knowledgeable and professional but most of all caring. It mattered to her that our trip fulfilled our expectations. Truly a wonderful tour director. Paolo was also the gold standard of his profession. He was courteous, caring and a careful driver. There was not a day we didn't feel completely safe in his hands.
