Our self-guided walk in the Picos de Europa was well organised by the team. Maria on the ground navigated changes to our hike with threatening wildfires in a seamless and efficient way and dealt with our individual needs.
we did a 5-day condensed hike in the Picos De Europa National Park mid-August. With the wildfires in Spain and that region at that time, the team were extremely helpful in helping us navigate what was possible and safe for us to do. We cannot praise Maria enough. The hikes themselves were really interesting and great to do. Each day was a bit different.
We had a lovely time, the Picos are incredible and everything ran smoothly.
Walking in Picos de Europa was awesome. The selected tracks offered a variety of walking experiences. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and people friendly and helpful.
A well-planned trip in a beautiful part of Spain.
Good accommodation. Hiking information mostly good. Guibo was rubbish. Took 10 min to load on my phone and closed if I didn't keep a finger on the screen.
Very nicely curated walks with great support from the app with maps, live route tracking made it super easy to follow.
Amazing trip! Everything was well organized and the tour company was very communicative. Cannot recommend more!
Very well organised, no issues with any parts. The walk itself was fantastic!
A great trip, well organised, great hotels and well planned walks
UTracks did provide a detailed itinerary and information to navigate the self guided tour. It was a little confusing on which agency was responsible for what. My original tour company contracted with UTracks who then contracted with another company for the local arrangements. Some of the information was a little off as bus schedules on Sunday, when we arrived, were not the same as posted. Most of the lodging was excellent but some didn't meet standards for the level of lodging. But still well organized and the location and trip was excellent!
This was our first organised self guided walk and it was absolutely fantastic. We could not fault the standard of the communication, the organisation of it all, and the value for money. The in-country team were amazing when we had some requests along the way and the routes chosen by the company were sooooooooo beautiful, and the descriptions of routes were very accurate. The hoteliers and drivers along the way were amazing and fun, and laughed with us about our language gaps. We'd do it again in a heartbeat, and we're a little bit in love with the Picos di Europa :-D
Ma soeur et moi avons choisi ce forfait pour nos vacances et nous n'avons pas été déçus de notre choix. L'équipe de prend les choses en main, répond rapidement à nos questions et demandes et s'assure que le voyage se déroule bien. [My sister and I chose this package for our vacation and we were not disappointed with our choice. The team takes charge, responds quickly to our questions and requests and ensures that the trip goes well.]
Venture into Spain’s dramatic Picos de Europa on a walking tour that combines natural wonders with authentic local life. The Hiking in the Picos de Europa trip is a moderate, eight-day self-guided journey suited for experienced travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility.
Begin and end in Arenas De Cabrales, and traverse the stunning Picos de Europa National Park, home to soaring limestone peaks, deep glacier valleys, and an abundance of wildlife—including chamois, wild boar, and rare wildflowers. Highlights include walking through authentic villages, exploring the deep gorges that divide the massif, and ascending to the base of the famed Naranjo de Bulnes peak.
The true USP of this tour package is its immersion in both pristine nature and the region’s culture: evenings are spent in family-run hotels where you can sample local specialties like Queso de Cabrales blue cheese. Every day offers a balance of invigorating treks and opportunities to unwind amidst breathtaking scenery.
