As the title says "It's highlights", so you will see a lot, but won't have much time for free time or shop unless you skip the extra optional excursions. Hotels are not centrally located so not within short walking distance of popular squares, etc. May require your own transpositions. Wish insight could do better job of finding more centrally located hotels.
Well run itinerary. Chad did great! However, I should not have signed up for it. Was not my cup of tea. Regimented schedules are not my fort.
It is “packed” - not in a bad way. We took all the optional excursions (which were great) and my wife complained about not much time to shop. This is not a complaint - it is just jam packed. But - we saw a lot, which was the goal.
Very hectic, covered too many venues, with a time limit at each place, Definitely not a tour for older people. Tour director and driver were kind and considerate, listening and helpful constantly, Food was not always the best at the set menu restaurants, eg paella with only choice of chicken or rabbit, Flamenco boring, story hard to understand and too long Hotels all excellent with generous breakfast selections and service
We really missed entering The Familia Sagrada. This needs to be corrected.
Too much coach time
Very much on the go. We chose to do every tour and excursion. It might be a little too much for some people. The overnights in the hotels were challenging when we had a full day and then had to have everything outside our door at 7 AM.
It covers many highlights of Spain, not all but with only 8-9 days, we did a lot!
Not a relaxing vacation. You get to see a lot. But if you want to have some chill time not much.
It covered all the main sites & cities.
We had an amazing Tour Director, which made the trip more enjoyable. The food was good, accommodation good and loved the varied optional tours. If you want to see southern Spain I would recommend this tour.
I was very happy with the places visited, tour director and local guides. It was a lot to cover in such a short time, and would probably prefer to do a tour seeing the same places but spread over a few more days as I felt very rushed at times after spending a full day on the bus, arriving in a location and then having a very short time ( an hour) to get to room, receive luggage, get changed and back on the bus.It would have been nice to have a little more down time, but again,I understand it was the choice of length of tour and itinerary chosen
, our driver, and all the tour guides were great! Very detailed oriented.
“A Tapestry of Culture & History" amazing itinerary, every place had a story. Great TD, extremely caring, professional and knowledgeable. She made the trip more memorable with all the details, such as keeping us fully informed, detailed in her explanations, showed such passion for her job and towards us. I would definitely recommend this tour and .
Good overview of southern Spain. Well organized tours and good guides. However, a real miss in Valencia by not staying a second night to allow participants to actually visit the arts and sciences buildings which could easily occupy a full day. Need to rethink various bathroom stops along the long drives. A few were in incredibly disgusting condition and continuing to stop there just means no repairs or changes to bathroom facilities will ever be made.
Hits all the highlights of southern Spain but some long days on bus.
Beautiful historical places. Good food. Good pace.
The Highlights of Spain shows a good cross section of current Spain and its history. The tour is organised and competently run by the tour director. The bus is modern and comfortable. The hotels are an excellent choice.
