I think the itinerary that we had selected was exactly what we wanted to do with just enough time at each stop. The only difference compared to earlier tours is that there are fewer included programs as compared with the earlier itineraries. The tour leader Ms Nadine was excellent and very helpful. She was knowledgeable and was always available when required. I think every one on the tour was very happy with Nadine.
Itinerary allowed open choices between offered extra tours and private tours, activities or free time. Tour director was very helpful looking after us and seeing everyone was fine. Hotels were excellent. Mikonos hotel Rhenia is family owned seem confused about who the guests are. Go to the buffet at 10 AM and they’ll clear your table to let you know breakfast is over. Before leaving let the desk know about some lights needing bulbs got dressed down for not reporting it sooner. The room is our private space. Just thinking of the next guest.
It was a good pace. Probably could have done without the last day in Mykonos on our own. Overall a great trip.
Everything was planned perfectly all our tours and side excursions . our tour guide was amazing and extremely knowledgeable ! So happy and we met some of the nicest people !
Konstantinos was intelligent, informative, knowledgeable and interesting. Very helpful through every leg of the trip. The initial ferry ride from Athens to Santorini is too long. A flight for that portion of the trip would be better.
Relaxing, plenty of free time, interesting and fun excursions. Travel guide was very helpful and kind. Beautiful country
Loved the time I was able to explore on my own
Very good. Good mix of organised time, free time and optional activities. Our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable, always helpful but also set boundaries, eg be on time, which kept the tour running to everyone’s benefit.
Too many excursions that are paid by customers instead of being included, we paid a big amount of money for this trip and we feel more should have been included by this tour company.
The Greek Island Hopper trip was amazing. The number of days in Athens and the two islands was good. Could add one more day at each island for leisure days. The excursions and optional tours were great and not too expensive. Went in mid-June so the weather was good (not too hot or windy) and tourism was not at its peak.
Great tour director and magnificent sights that we remember forever.
It was a great vacation and it was perfect that we got to stay 3 days in each island which gave us time to explore and enjoy Athens , Santorini and Mykonos . We had a great time in all the Santorini optional tours but it could have been better also if there is an included tour. Our travel director was amazing and very helpful. I would definitely book more group travels with Trafalgar.
The itinerary was GREAT! I enjoyed every adventure! I also enjoyed all the people(employees) that were with us every step of the way, our whole group was FABULOUS! I do want to give a SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to , he was wonderful, always with a beautiful smile, TRULY LOVED HIM! I hope all future guests will take advantage of his knowledge, help and kindness he provided! Please let know how much he is appreciated! AND YES I would love to travel with Trafalgar in the future!
The scenery and ruins were absolutely amazing! The food was delicious! Our travel director, drivers, and local guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Cryssa went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe and gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and activities. However, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athens was not up to our expectations. It wasn't a good location, the room was small, the scent in the lobby was too strong, and the coffee machine in the lobby restaurant wasn't available all day. We were very disappointed that the optional excursion to Cape Sounion was cancelled because we didn't have enough people. I suggest that travelers be able to register for optional excursions before the trip begins so that arrangements can be made to join another tour group if necessary.
We had an amazing experience. Our tour guide was exceptional!! He was kind, knowledgeable, communicative, and funny. He made sure to take care of us and guide us along our journey in Greece. He went above and beyond and bought my daughter a birthday present because she turned 18 on our trip. The Greek Island Hopper tour is fabulous - and was the BEST!!!
Too much time on the ferries going between islands. Some optionals were canceled that I wanted to take. Too much free time. Hotel in Mykonos was hard to walk up the hill and too far from town.
There is a lot of walking on various terrain when going up to the acropolis.
This was a great trip to take with teens. Lots of islands, beach time, super fun and well organized trip.
Well thought out itinerary. Felt like we had sufficient time in each location.
The Greek Island Hopper was a great experience and the small size of the group was good. From Athens, to 3 days in Santorini, and 3 days in Mykonos, gave us a good taste of Greece. A beautiful part of the world to visit. The tour was well organised and so took a lot of the planning off our hands. You felt you always were in capable hands with a travel director handy for all tips and advice.
It's a great sampling of the Greek sites! The people were friendly and the hospitality was great! So much culture!!! I wish the trip had been 1-2days longer, however, so that we could relax longer on the beaches, shop, etc.
Beginning in Athens and exploring the history of Greece was incredible! Our next stop was Santorini which had several highlights and optional activities. Mykonos was my favorite and a dreamy final stop on our adventure. We then made our way back to Athens for a farewell and departure.
Wonderful itinerary, beautiful hotels and amazing tour guide. Love the additional add on as options.
First time visiting Greece, Santorini and Mykonos, First tour with guides and so worth it. I learned so much about culture, food, wine and of course the wonderful people of Greece. Exploring archaeological sites with great detail from our guides made it a fascinating exploration for the day. I have to mention my travel guide was so kind, thoughtful and really takes good care of her group of travelers, paying attention to the fast walkers, and the slow walkers, including everyone to make dinners special, and chatting with each and everyone to make this a trip of a lifetime!
More tour options
very nice optional tours, also nice to be able to explore on our own. Would recommend option to fly from Athens to Santorini to avoid long ferry ride (especially with rough seas), and fly from Mykonos to Athens.
Spending three nights on the two islands was relaxing! Loved the tours and spending time exploring. Our guide made the experience exceptional!
The ferry from Athens to Santorini took 7.5 hours from boarding to un-boarding....which was way too long. That was a whole day wasted on very choppy sea. Better to fly. The walk to hotel Rhenia in Mykonos was up a long steep hill that took 8 minutes to get up to due to having to takes rest stops. Two people had difficulty breathing making their way up. A shuttle from hotel would be appreciated.
Was not as good as the Italy trip
The islands were lovely, hotels wonderful and tours were a great pace. May weather was terrific. The excavations of Akrotiri and our local guide were fascinating! Trafalgar should recommend travelers visit the Acropolis museum prior to tour start, if possible. I thought the Athens tour would have more stops than the Acropolis. The other sites listed were just driving by, disappointing. Several of the advertised optional excursions were not offered.
Enjoyed the beautiful Greek Isles! Wonderful guide brought us beautifully through the week...
I loved our tour guide . She was knowledgeable, efficient, and kept us informed on what we needed to do. I don’t think I would take another tour with you again. I did not like having to pay admissions on excursions. It should have been included in the cost of the tour. The food at the welcome dinner in the Athens hotel was awful. The accommodations were lovely.
The itinerary was perfect. We saw beautiful places with perfect choices for excursions. We have been on many trips, but the best part about it was the slower pace and ability to spend more time in each place to soak in the beauty and uniqueness. was an excellent, patient guide who helped us all get what each of us wanted from the trip.
Greece was on my bucket list. The Island hopper is a great way to c the important memorable parts of Greece! Athens, Mykonos& Santorini. It is a bit much wi the ferry rides; but it all adds to the experience. Our local guides & tour director were excellent! Our local tours & points of interest were amazing. I applaud the tour bus drivers, because those roads r very narrow & driving there definitely is a skill!! The boutiques hotels in Santorini & Mykonos were amazingly beautiful & captured the beauty of the islands. The ruins in Athens breathtaking! Would def recommend, & I will def visit Greece again!
It requires some physical fitness for climbing and taking lots of stairs without railings.
The main reason that we enjoyed this itinerary was that it wasn't "rushed" and we didn't have to change hotels and locations every day (or every other day). There was a lot of free time for sightseeing, shopping, or swimming at the beach. There was also a good choice of excursions offered through Trafalgar at each location.
On days you transfer by ferry, most of the day is spent traveling. Lose a lot of vacation time.
I liked the itinerary. I liked the option of selecting the activities. We could relax and explore or doing the optional excursion
While our hotel in Mykonos was absolutely beautiful, the steep hills were a bit challenging. We could have used a golf cart etc to be able to get back to our hotel.
The itinerary shows you the history and the beauty of Greece. The excursions provided and the optional excursions were very comprehensive and not too physically challenging., mostly walking. The length of the daily excursions still allowed ttime to explore on your own..
Great trip - plenty of optional activities and time on our own
Make sure to bring winter clothes because it was very windy & cold. Had a great time, met great people. Santorini & Mykonos was very beautiful. Athens didn’t really get to see the beautiful parts.
I purchased the Island Hopper Tour as a graduation gift for my granddaughter. We registered for the April 27 - May 6, 2025 tour. We both enjoyed it very much. is 18 years old. I was worried that she is so much younger than the other tour group members. There were others on the trip who were in their 20s & 30s. felt very comfortable with people. We enjoyed our tour of the Acropolis. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I really appreciated that about all of the sites we went to. The person leading each different tour was a wealth of knowledge. was our Tour Director. She is marvelous. I would gladly travel with her again. She was very helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable and made our travel so easy and entertaining. The places that we stayed in were very nice. Their amenities were good. The rooms were all very nice and very well maintained. I would happily travel with Trafalgar Tours again and will be recommending you to my friends who are interested in travelling. Thank you for a wonderful, interesting vacation experience.
A good balance of organised, optional activities and free time. I liked that we didn’t spend all our time touring in a bus
The itinerary was the perfect numbers of days in each destination and the optional adventures were just perfect.
Wonderfully planned by Trafalgar, perfectly orchestrated by our travel director. Great value as far as accommodations, meals, optional experiences.
It was as great
It is busy at first, but then slows to a relaxed pace. It's a great way to see a few places in Greece.
