Grand Italian Experience

Tour was great. Tour director was fabulous giving lots of information on the way to new places and during walk around with local guides. Wonderful way to see Italy.. Lots of fun meeting new friends from Australia, Canada and US

Loved the entire trip and would rate all 5 stars except for Hotel Isabella in Sorrento

Alot of up hill, down hill walking, up stairs down stairs and cobble stone walking. Have to be in shape.

Fast paced

This is a wonderful trip! However please let clients know that there is alot of hard walking. In Rome we walked 7 km in 1 day! It was too much!

Absolutely fantastic trip and would do again in a heartbeat! Trafalgar made it so easy and we had a fantastic tour director and driver who made the trip so memorable.

Our tour director and our driver made the trip even more memorable! was so enthusiastic, engaging, knowledgeable, friendly, funny and very kind. was an amazing driver. They were truly the best we could have hoped for. We all began as strangers and ended the tour feeling like family! The itinerary was great - gave me a true sense of Italy with each region having its unique history and charm. It my first overseas trip and I travelled solo. This tour was a dream come true

Grand Italian Experience...This is a fabulous way to see the best of Italy. No worries about hotels, transportation, train tickets, admission to local sights...etc. The tour guide and our driver were the best! Both really added so much value to the trip. We always felt safe and relaxed. They were funny, professional, experienced ( a wealth of information) and could read the group quickly. They gave us the experience to see the best of Italy. Having 2 days in most locations was perfect. Will definitely be on another Trafalgar trip soon

This trip was made for any age group, loved every day of this amazing holiday, stunning places never seiced to amaze,tour was out standing showing care and friendship, could not have had a better one, little extra surprises along the way. Restaurant's were out standing ,hotels were always a surprise, Bus driver keep us safe ,smile every morning with a hand to greet.l u of and on the bus, thanks , 💯 with every thing

The itinerary once one included the optional experiences was very good.

Great itinerary,tour guide ,was outstanding, and was also outstanding driver,makes a difference when you have excellent quality people working for Trafalgar.

I’d say the itinerary is excellent, well balanced but the pace is a bit fast.

Could not have asked for a better experience! Definitely happy that we decided to take the Grand Italian Experience! The local experts were great and our tour director was AMAZING!

Some of the hotels were pretty average. Many didn’t have water refilling points etc. A lot of what was really nice to see and experience were the optional experiences and these weren’t cheap. Understand from guests who previously booked this tour years ago that the OE were part of the actual tour. Maybe Trafalgar could consider including these as standard and remove the included dinners. Most of the included dinners were bang average and we probably would have had a better experience just wondering around and sorting our own dinners out. The dinner at Assisi was rushed - several guests had their plates removed mid meal and conversation. Best hotel was Hampton by Hilton Venice. Proper rooms, good working ac, strong wifi, water refill stations and my goodness would you believe it - an iron and ironing board. TD was brilliant. Organised, humorous and helpful. Great driver too.

We had a wonderful time on this comprehensive tour of this beautiful country of Italy. It was very busy and we opted in for all the excursions offered. It was really really hot for part of our trip and we enjoyed it anyway because it was so wonderful to learn and see the historical monuments we had heard and read about since childhood. Our group wasn’t too large and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests. was and is a wonderful tour guide and we were blessed with her knowledge and humor. The food was fantastic and too much of it!!
