This was a beautiful part of Italy with great people, great accommodation and a very comfortable coach - and were excellent people to take the group - it was very nice only having 22 people - felt we all got time to get to know each other- we really enjoyed this tour and will take home some wonderful memories - thank you so much!! and from Australia
Superb staff made this a dream holiday. Thank you and !!
Wonderful itinerary. Amazing sights, beautiful scenery, lovely hotels, great experiences. Tour director and guides are very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!
Great itinerary. I would tell people that time in Milan is limited and to consider coming early to see more.
It exposed us to towns and villages that we would likely not ever known to explore. They were wonderful
Nice places
Itinerary is very good, it covers all the places that I had wanted to visit.
This is a great trip for the traveler who has already experienced Italy’s most favorite spots like Rome, Florence, Sorrento, etc., and wants to continue to explore Italy. It allows a travel to gain experience with the difference between Northern and Southern Italy.
We saw the most amazing places. It covered a great range of towns and landscapes.
Great places to see and in particular the tour director and driver were first class and always ready to go above and beyond when needed.
We just returned from an unforgettable journey through Northern Italy and the stunning lake regions—and it was absolutely magical. The itinerary was perfectly curated, striking a beautiful balance between iconic cities, charming towns, and breathtaking natural landscapes.
The journey to the Dolomites was very picturesque and the Dolomites themselves were awe inspiring and wonderful. Venice for 2 nights was fascinating, loved our outing down the Grand Canal to StMark’s Square one evening to sit at cafe outside, enjoy a cocktail & listen to the cafe’s orchestra. Tour to Burano island was well worth it , with delicious lunch and excellent shopping for linen and lace . Lace scarves and linen tops & dresses were very reasonable prices. Island in Lake Maggiore also had very good prices on linen tops and cool to wear dresses. Lake Maggiore and the other lakes were beautiful and we had interesting & fun cruises to islands. Our group was wonderful plus our tour director & driver could not have been better. A fun and interesting time was had by all.
This was our first bus trip, and we loved it. Our guide was outstanding and we loved her insight and knowledge.
Book before July. The heat is tough. The tours were fun and beautiful. You stay busy but not too much. You have down time. The people you meet are great. You become a family.
Covered the most scenic areas of northern Italy. Enjoyed the Prosecco winery visit, gondola ride up the Dolomites, all of the lakes, meal in the mountains.
Some long drives but otherwise great itinerary
Great itinerary, mountain drives and views were fabulous! A lot of boat rides on several lakes and Venice canals. Informative walking tours of many small towns! Encourage you to take all the optional offerings to get the full experience, including the meals in local restaurants. Excellent tour director() and very skilled coach driver() made this a holiday to remember!
Love, love, loved the Dolomites. One more day there with activities would make it better. Venice was fun. Loved the free time to walk around and the gondola ride and Venice at night ride were great.
Well organized, knowledgeable guide, varied itinerary
Excursion in Milano should have included entry into the Cathedral. Group meals were mediocre. Tour director not warm and friendly.
The itinerary was just okay. A couple of the accommodations were less than advertised. One was so far off the beaten path we felt like we were trapped there with very limited Resturant choice for dinner. Unknown to us when we booked some of the towns/shops were in between seasons so they were closed up. One day we were dropped off at a town for “free time” and everything was closed.
The itinerary was average. Two of the hotels were sub-par, one in particular was 8 km out of town with no ability to get into town to shop or sightsee during free time.
This was a well organised and most enjoyable trip which covered many places of interest, however a couple of hiccups along the way. As experienced travel agents, you should have known that Cortina D Ampezzo closes for the whole of May every year to get ready for the ski season. So instead of wondering around Italy's most exclusive ski resort we were isolated up in the mountains. To market Country Roads of Northern Italy we were presented with a lovely travel guide with coloured pictures of our destinations. When it was time to leave we were sent a horried little itinerary in black and white, just over two pages with no pictures, in a font so small it was difficult to read. I have travelled extensively with many tour companies but never received such a disappointing & unexciting itinerary. Your Marketing Dept needs to provide a better product.
The trip was lovely & everything we did and saw was great! Downside was the options that were not available. Upon booking the trip, you are aware that some may not be available at certain times of the year. Our trip was in May so being that part of the tour was in the mountains, I assumed this would be due to the weather. Issue was that certain hotels & activities aren't available until certain dates. Certainly Insight knows that these things on a certain tour date aren't available. They book these every year. I don't understand the big mystery. Our tour guide seemed to be aware that these things would be available more like the beginning of June. It would be nice to know this before you book the trip. Apparently these mountain resorts & towns have limited resources until end of May or beginning of June. I just thought weather was the determining factor but I've since learned otherwise.
It was a very nice tour. Some things in Cortina were closed in May, which we knew., but we thought there would be other activities provided. There was only one optional excursion to do. If you didn’t sign up for it, you were basically stuck at the hotel in the mountains. There wasn’t anything close by. The included dinner at the hotel was also not good. Nobody seemed to like it. My suggestion would be to go somewhere else or add a day to Venice or the Lake regions. Otherwise it was a good tour. We loved Venice and the Lake areas!
It was at a good pace
