Milan Tours and Trips

This was an amazing trip!! Our tour director, Ilja, did an awesome job and really made the trip even more special! One more day in Rome to see the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and the Roman Forum would have been nice.

Our tour of Northern Italy Lake area was fabulous. Margarita our guide and Guiseppa our driver were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. My only concern were the option extras. We probably didn’t read the fine print regarding these options, we actually did them all, but for some guests who hadn’t budgeted for these trips, it seemed there wasn’t much for them to do on those days. We feel these options extras should have been included in the price of the package.

This was an incredible itinerary and we can't say enough about our fantastic tour director Filippo Concollato and our awesome driver Stefeno. The one suggestion I would make, would be to not have a 2 night stay in Cortina for the month of May. The Dolomites are amazing but there is not much open that time of year in the town of Cortina.

We picked this trip because it included the Amalfi coast.. We also loved Lake Maggiore, Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome.. We were less impressed with lake Como and then Pompei as we went to Herculaneum on our own and found it less crowded and better preserved.

Every excursion that we went on was amazing. The sights, food and direction that we received from our guide was wonderful. Transportation throughout our journey was perfect. Each town that we visited was beautiful. My wife and I loved it all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip - well organized, hotels and food outstanding, guides interesting and knowledgeable, enough free time for shopping, time to look around on your own balanced with time spent on guided tours. Good price for the tour. Only drawback was use of WhatsApp to disseminate information, most of which was discussed on the bus or we’d already been told (i.e. departure times, time to put luggage out, itinerary for the day etc.). The tour director had to email me and others, as not all of us had an iPhone, plus it took us by surprise that we needed the App so we were not prepared. I couldn’t load the App while in Italy, so the director had to separately email me which meant I had to leave the iPad on when I got up and went for breakfast, as the message didn’t come through until we were almost leaving for the day. Plus, the whole thing seemed extra work for the tour director as she’d already told us most of the information anyway. Maybe inform travelers of need to have that App loaded and ready to go before the tour starts?? Would definitely travel with Trafalgar again though.
