Costa Rica Adventure: Volcanoes, Jungles and Beaches

Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will meet you and take you to your accommodation in San Jose. If you arrive early, our representative will suggest some of the famous cultural attractions you can explore or you can take the time to relax at your hotel. Stay overnight in San Jose.

After breakfast, our representative will take you to Arenal and from there you will head to the Pacuare River. Our rafting guide will meet you and equip you with life jacket, helmet and paddles along with a safety briefing. The first four miles consist of fun class II-III rapids—perfect to test your river skills and get used to the waters.

After about 40 minutes in, you will enter the famous Pacuare River Gorge, which consists of five miles of some of the best white water Costa Rica has to offer. The most famous rapids here are Terciopelo snake, Double drop, Upper and Lower Huacas, and Pinball. You will also see the Huacas waterfall, a dramatic 150-foot drop into the river.

Spot wildlife along the way and stop at one of the small beaches on the banks of the Pacuare River for a lunch break. After lunch, you will start the final route and continue downstream, finishing at the private Exploration Center in Siquirres. From there, our representative will transfer you to La Fortuna, by the famous Arena volcano.

After breakfast, you will have some free time to explore around your hotel. In the afternoon, you will hike through trails marked with the remains of previous lava flows of the impressive Arenal volcano. The main attraction of La Fortuna is the Arenal Volcano with its nearly perfect cone shape and a height of 1633 meters. Discover abundant flora and fauna as your guide shares the history behind Arenal Volcano. Then, continue to Ecotermales Hot Springs Resort. This natural paradise offers impressive views of the Arenal volcano.

After the hike, relax in natural hot springs followed by a delicious buffet dinner. Then, return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Today, you will continue your tour to Monteverde cloud forest. After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to your vehicle. You will travel (car-boat-car) across the Arenal lake and head to Santa Elena, a little town located by the Monteverde cloud forest preserve. Stay overnight in Monteverde.

After breakfast, you will head to Monteverde cloud forest for a walking tour in to nature. Explore Monteverde’s famous hanging bridges, some of them suspended over the forest. After finishing your walking tour, your guide will gear you up for the one and only zip line course inside Monteverde’s virgin cloud forest before taking you back to your hotel for the night.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and head to Manuel Antonio beach. On the way, discover amazing landscapes and scenic routes before arriving at Quepos, a small town close to Manuel Antonio National Park. Check in to your hotel after a long drive. You can either explore the beach or relax at your hotel. Stay overnight.

Today, you will visit Manuel Antonio National Park. Our experience guide will walk you through the park, all the while sharing the history and insights of the park. During the hike, you can spot native monkeys, sloths, birds, reptiles, butterflies, exotic orchids and tropical trees.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for the evening. Take the time to explore the surrounding or relax at the hotel. Stay overnight.

Today you can enjoy a full day all to yourself. Relax under the sun, take a dip in the beautiful water or simply unwind at the hotel. Stay overnight.

Today is the final day of your tour. After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Our representative will meet you and take you to Santamaria International Airport for your final departure.
