Honest insights from past guests on our 11-Day Morocco tours
My 10-day Grand Morocco Tour from north to south was an unforgettable experience. From the enchanting blue streets of Chefchaouen to the stunning sand dunes of the Sahara, each day brought something new and exciting. The trip was well-organized, with a perfect balance of culture, history, and adventure. What I appreciated most was the carefully planned itinerary, which took us through Morocco’s most beautiful sites, from the Roman ruins of Volubilis to the majestic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate about their country, providing us not only with historical insights but also a deeper understanding of Moroccan culture and traditions. The private transport service was comfortable, and our driver was always punctual and attentive. The accommodations were high quality, with stunning riads and hotels that perfectly captured the spirit of the country. One of the highlights was the Sahara experience. The camel trek to the desert camps was magical, and stargazing under the clear night sky was something I will never forget. The local music in the desert villages added a unique atmosphere to this enchanting place.
Well-planned and well executed tour that included Volubilis (the Roman city), God’s Waterfall (not far from Chefchaouen), good food and walks around both Fez and Marrakech. The quality of the guide (Mr. Sallam, a knowledgeable 20-something Berber) was excellent. Looking forward to going further to the south next time!
I could not have planned a better trip to Morocco than CharlieTheTraveler provided. They had an organized itinerary which provided structure to the trip. Although there was the structure which I liked, I also appreciated the balance of autonomous time to explore and enjoy the nightlife of the area. There was never a shortage of activities but I also never felt like there was too much to do with too little time. It was the perfect amount of both time and activities!
This tour was all we could have wished for and more. It took us smoothly, starting from Casablanca, through some of the most beautiful and historic cities of Morocco. The blue streets of Chefchaouen had a magic all their own, while the Roman ruins of Volubilis were a glittering glance at ancient history. Our guide in Fez brought the medieval medina alive; navigating its bustling streets was an adventure. The highlight of this journey for us was, of course, taking a camel ride at sunset in Merzouga and staying at the luxurious camp amidst amazing starry night skies and Berber music played around the fire. New landscapes every day: from the impressive Todra Gorge to the thousand kasbahs of the Dades Valley. Exploring historic kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and vibrant atmosphere Jemaa el-Fna square in Marrakech is an experience we will always remember.
Excellent holiday but perhaps the long day driving to see the roman ruins and the vineyard could be missed out. It was a considerable amount of driving for a 30 min tour of the ruins and a 10 min tour of the vineyard. Another night at Ouzoud would perhaps be better. The local guides were excellent, in particular the two in Marrakech and Essaouria. Very insightful. Riads and Dars were all excellent (with much needed air conditioning). The meals in the family homes were a lovely insight into local culture with mouth watering food.
Real family feel, a good variety of activities to suit everyone and still had plenty of time to relax. Theres a fair amount of driving but it's definitely worthwhile, just get your headphones in for a few hours and bring a deck of cards.
