Itinerary
Morocco’s tapestry of colors and cultures unfolds on the 'Highlights of Morocco' 15-day small group tour. Tailored for seniors seeking moderate adventure, this trip combines camel rides in the Sahara, mint tea with Amazigh hosts, and walks through the awe-inspiring Atlas Mountains. Visit all four Imperial Cities—Rabat, Meknes, Fez, and Marrakech—and explore hidden ksars, lively souks, and the dramatic Todra Gorge. The unique selling point is the tour’s authentic experiences, from village strolls to ancient medinas, ensuring you truly connect with Morocco’s people and traditions.
day 1Adventure starts in Marrakech
Buzzy Marrakech is a whirlwind of tradition and culture, an invigorating introduction to Morocco. However, today is a relaxing one, a chance for our group to congregate and settle in.
Usually around 6pm, you'll say hello to your tour leader and fellow travellers at the hotel, where we gather as a group for the first time to get to know each other and learn more about the adventures ahead.
Your tour leader then ensures a big Moroccan welcome over dinner together.

Amazing Morocco !
Of all 27 trips which I have done with Exodus, this one packs in the most in terms of the variety of scenery and experiences of any I have done ! There is everything from the large cities, such as Casablanca and Rabat, the medinas of Fes, and Marrakesh and Meknes, the Sahara desert camps, walking and taking camel rises over the dunes, two nights in the High Atlas with a hike in the mountains, experiencing a hammam at the local village where we stayed in the mountains, the lovely costal city of Essaouira as well as meeting local people (including lunch with a local family in their home). There are some long days travelling in the bus but there are lots of stops for coffee/lunch and to see things on the way. Seeing the variety of scenery on the way made it really worth it.
A fabulous trip!
This was an amazing trip. We packed a lot in to 2wks. Cities, mosques, kasbahs, medinas, countryside, desert camping (including camels!), mountain villages, hikes, a fishing port. Oh, and some shopping! There were some long travel days, but they didn't feel long... the bus was comfortable (and our driver Hassan was excellent!), with frequent stops for sights / loo breaks. Also, the scenery was interesting. Our guide Mohamed was superb, one of the best we've ever had (and we've been lucky with Exodus to always have excellent guides, so the standard is high). One example... We had an unexpected issue with the bus on about day 3 which wasn't fixable locally, and we all assumed the itinerary for that day might need to change, or at least that we'd be delayed for a while. But thanks to Mohamed's organisational skills, enough taxis turned up within 20mins to take us all on to our next scheduled stop, with Mohamed following once he'd sorted a replacement bus.
HIghlights of Morocco
My wife Cristina and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Morocco. The trip was interesting, but it became even more fabulous thanks to our leader, Mohamed Ait Lmoud.

Highlights of Morocco
One of the best Exodus trips I have experienced. Exodus was able to select the best locations of Morocco to provide an experience not to be forgotten for a long time. We were 15 in our group and we were all quite fun and enjoyable with each other during the long bus rides and tour walks and meals together. We enjoyed the tours of Marrakech, Fez, and Essaouira. Quite thrilling to ride the camels on the Sahara Desert. The sunrise and sunsets on the Sahara were spectacular.
