Morocco Tours in October 2026

This was a great family trip (our kids were 15 and 13) with a good mix of activities and sightseeing - it packs loads into 6 days but not too much either. Mohamed was a great guide, we learnt lots about Morocco and all was well organised. It's a fascinating country to visit from mountains to desert and changing fast - well worth a visit.

The Mt Toubkal trip went really well and our leader Mohammad kept everything well organised. I was impressed with the quality (and quantity!) of the food provided throughout the trip. Accommodation was decent throughout with 4-5 sharing a room at the guesthouses and good sized tents while camping at the Mt Toubkal refuge.

The whole experience was challenging, breathtaking (in all senses of the word) and truly magical. The ease of communication, the warm welcome on arrival, the excellent guidance from our tour leaders, the beautiful band of fellow travellers, the joyeous chef, the porters, our trusted mules Aisha and Fatima - all made this trip a tonic for the soul :) Highly recommendable!

I really enjoyed my Morocco trip with Explore! The itinerary covered all the sites I wanted to see & I liked that there was free time on most days rather than a full itinerary with no time to do anything we wanted aside from the group. The riad in Chefchaouen was outstanding, the best of all the places we stayed by far. The one in Fez was somewhat disappointing; despite having a very impressive 'lobby' the rooms were not of a standard that would be expected on a upgraded tour. The sheets appeared grubby and the bathroom floor the same. Despite this I thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour and would recommend it to everyone. Our guide Boubker was very good at his job and was very attentive to the needs of our party. He was patient and very helpful. Overall my experience was a very positive one.

This was my very first group tour holiday. I opted for the Upgraded- Discover Morocco because quite frankly I like to have 'quality' accommodation rather than hostels. There was one hotel downgrade due to not enough space for all that I did not find was agreeable and certainly not on a par with our other Riads and Kasbah. I hope Explore do not ever consider using this particular hotel on their upgraded tour again. Looking back, I feel I was very disappointed, but the rest of the tour had been wonderfully overwhelming that I had many more fabulous things to experience. Our Tour leader Boubker Boutkhoum, had stepped in to cover for the original tour leader and I get the impression that this may have been short notice for him. Boubker was kind, caring, an excellent organiser as well as being a diligent mediator. He was often often phoning ahead liaising with the accommodations, booking restaurants for us and even finding some that sold wine! (This was important for our group). His passion for his country, religion and being a Berber shone through with so much integrity and intelligence that everyone loved him and learned so much from him. I felt he was really looking after us all and seemed to be calm, have so much patience and a good sense of humour.

The tour was great. I enjoyed the restaurants chosen for us. The majority of the hotels were very nice. The best experience of the tour was the tent hotel in the Sahara desert. Our tour guide Aziz was top notch! Extremely smart and knowledgeable. He did his best to accommodate everyone's needs.
