I was especially struck by the contrast between the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and the medieval lanes of Marrakech. Our guide, Hamid, was a storyteller at heart and brought history alive at every stop. He was very sweet. Waited patiently for us to click pictures and actually soak in the energy of every place we visited. The camel ride through the dunes was surreal. we spent the night in Berber tents and saw stars brighter than anything I’ve seen back home. The food? Delicious! Tagines, mint tea, fresh olives, and more bread than you can count. It’s a trip that hits every sense and leaves you wanting more.

My overall experience on this tour was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend it. The guide Abdul, the driver Arabic, and the group truly made the trip exceptional. I would even consider this one of the best trips I?ve ever taken. That said, my only recommendation is to improve the accommodations. The hotel in Fez was very disappointing, and the location of the hotel in Marrakech could be better. Including a riad experience would significantly enhance the overall experience.
