The holiday was great, our guides led by Hicham were caring, thoughtful and well organised, making sure we had everything we needed. Most of the time the mini buses were driving along nearby so most of our things could be left on the bus (non cycling clothes for the day etc) so it is useful to bring a small bag to have on the bike as well as a backpack to leave on the bus/use as your overnight bag for the camping in Sahara. Small bags were available to borrow for the bikes but some people found the zips on them didn’t work, so I’d recommend bringing your own if you can. The bikes were great, hard tail mountain bikes that suited the slightly rough roads and tracks we were cycling on. The cycling was often flat or downhill, a few people in the group were nervous about the day with a lot of ascent but everyone completed it. There is a lot of time in the mini buses (2-3 hours a day) but otherwise you wouldn’t see as much of the country. Hicham would organise a coffee stop most times we had a long journey and got to know our orders by the end of the trip! The desert is a real highlight (and why you travel so much each day!) the “camping” is more like glamping with a full double bed each and a flushing toilet and we even had hot showers. The food was good throughout, the hotels were clean and I liked that they all felt independently run. Overall, a very good cycling trip to a country I’d never been to before!

The itinerary was fairly but not fully accurate. Not an issue for me but some were less happy. Guide, lbaihim, was great and happy to tailor the trip to the group. Some of the drives were quite long (typically 2-3h). Again not an issue for me but maybe an issue for younger children? There were two 8 year olds on my trip one of whom managed the 21km cycle ride.

Such a brilliant trip. Great combination of activities and rest time. The perfect pace for a family trip. Our tour guide Mohamed was brilliant - organised, friendly and extremely informative. He even kept the kids entertained after a few of the evening meals by teaching them Moroccan card games - thank you Mohamed 😊 This was our fourth explore trip and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend Explore if you want to properly visit a country, meet the people and taste the local food.

From the beginning of my booking with Explore, the staff were helpful, friendly and professional with my telephone enquiries. This continued through into the tour itself with full credit to our guide, Omar, who was so attentive to all the group. He was extremely knowledgeable and ensured that everyone was comfortable at all times. It’s difficult to highlight one particular aspect of the tour as Omar ensured that it was all perfectly adapted to our needs. The 4x4 that accompanied our bus was a great back-up help for adults and children offering a more comfortable ride if they weren’t feeling too well. Great organisation and an itinerary that provided a fantastic insight into Moroccan & Berber life. We’ll be back, thank you.

The itinerary allowed us to see and do so much without ever feeling rushed or exhausted. Mohammed was organised, helpful and knowledgeable. The drivers were also excellent. This was one of the best Explore trips I have done.

We had an absolutely fantastic trip to Morocco on the family adventure holiday with our 14 year old daughter. Our leader Mohamed was brilliant, so knowledgeable about Morocco, very friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. I learnt so much about Berber life, the country and Africa in general. The itinerary was great. A good balance of activities between sightseeing, action and downtime. Highlights for us were the camel ride into the Sahara and camping overnight as well as the beautiful walks in the Atlas Mountains. We loved the range of accommodation from the tiny guesthouse in the mountains to the bigger hotels. Would highly recommend this trip for families with older children.
