Introducing Morocco
Stretching from the endless dunes of the Sahara to the undulating waves of the Mediterranean, Morocco is one of Africa’s most fascinating destinations. Spend a few days surfing off the beaches of Essaouira or lay down on the sand. Discover the imperial city of Marrakesh and go on a camel safari trip in the desert. Pass your nights swapping stories with the Bedouins. Or else, head for the remote hamlets of the High Atlas.

When to go to Morocco
Average temperatures of 38°C are not uncommon in most parts of Morocco between July and September, making these months too hot for most travelers. Thankfully, the country experiences a much more pleasant climate during the rest of the year. Most travelers considering a personalized Morocco itinerary prefer the months between November and March when the beaches are still warm enough for sunbathing and it is cool enough to explore the medina of Tangier during the daytime. How long to stay in Morocco
The country’s excellent infrastructure means that it is possible to explore a triad of destinations in as little as seven days. We would recommend spending at least two nights in Casablanca before winding your way through the roads of the Atlas Mountains for a trip to Fez. Morocco sojourns lasting two weeks could also include destinations such as Chefchaouen and the Todra Gorge. Three weeks, on the other hand, is ample time to get a feel for the whole country. Must-visit destinations in Morocco
The least known of the country’s four imperial cities, Meknes is arguably the most authentic. However, the capital city, Rabat, has a larger number of attractions, too. Similarly, Casablanca, immortalized by none other than Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, is rapidly becoming one of the coolest destinations in North Africa, while the desert outpost of Ouarzazate has been featured in numerous movies. Meanwhile, those with an adventurous streak will want to summit Mount Toubkal, the region’s highest peak, or explore the dunes of Erg Chigaga and Erg Chebbi. There are plenty of activities in Morocco to keep you busy.
