Itinerary was good. But I would have appreciated being able to see, even at a distance, the leaning tower. I had no wish to visit it. But perhaps a view could have been arranged when we left our Pisa hotel in the taxi?
Super holiday! The walks through the beautiful Tuscany countryside with Cypresses, Olive trees and vines will live with me for ever. Itinerary was perfect with challenging walks and time to relax afterwards. The accommodation was excellent, breakfasts substantial and wine tastings informative and very enjoyable. Definitely 5*!
A very enjoyable trip. Good leader, wonderful scenery and well chosen accommodation.
I enjoyed a great week in Tuscany, nothing was too much trouble for our Explore Leader, Enrico. We had a very delicious wine tasting on Day 2, with a great lunch and we finished the week with an Aperitif overlooking Florence. The hotel in Florence was changed quite late and if you were to have a room on the main street it was quite noisy. If you like walking, wine and food, I would definitely recommend this trip.
The entire experience was terrific ... the itinerary was well-paced and exciting, Tuscany is beautiful and the food was awesome, and best of all our guide AJ was the "star of the show" who made the trip really educational and memorable.
I enjoyed the walking and wine tour. Most of the hotels we stayed in were clean, comfortable and walking distance from small towns. Our guide was well versed in the trees, flowers, and crops that we saw on our hikes. The arrangements for dinners, wine tastings, and transportation were taken care of by our guide and well coordinated. I particularly liked the balance between time with the group and free time at the end of the day. The only issue we had was on one of our hikes we were supposed to be able to refill our water bottles at the halfway point, however the bar was not open. It was a very hot day and 3 out of 5 of us, including the guide, ran out of water. We ended up having to cut the hike short.
Excellent trip and very good guide in AJ. Only negative was hotel in Florence. Good location (change from original hotel) but was tired and cleanliness could have been better. Very cramped solo room π Highlights were Pienza and Castellina in Chianti. Great hotels, beautiful walks and really good food and wine. π
A well paced trip with an excellent guide, I really enjoyed it, despite the covid rules.
