An interesting trip around an area of Italy that we knew little about. Walks varied….could have been a bit longer but weather quite hot so would have been tiring.
Great tour with reasonably easy walking and lots of delicious meals and drinks. We also made some great visits, those listed as part of the itinerary and others suggested for free time. The tour leader was excellent, taking time to check we were all happy with arrangements and very knowledgeable about the tour itself and about great places to visit and eat. The hotels were generally very good though there was a change to the last two nights accommodation but the substitute was fine.
This tour exceeded all expectations. The walking was a substantial part of the experience with interesting and varied landscapes and the home grown, home made food and wine along the way was extraordinary. Many thanks to our tour guide, Massimo, who went out of his way to give everyone the best possible holiday.
A great holiday, with an excellent guide and a very companionable group of fellow guests. The itinerary was a good mixture of walking and visits to culinary and cultural places. The transport and transfers worked out well and weren’t too long in distance or time. The one regret was that the last 2 nights hotel accommodation had been changed and I did not like my basement room which was very noisy from city nighttime activity and had no outlook or natural light.
