Magical
This hike has been on list since 2020 when we got cancelled due to covid. I was more than thrilled to finally get to experience it. Both David (head guide) and Milky (second guide) were amazing and in my opinion, added a huge value to my overall experience.
The guides, chef, and porters are all amazing. The food on the Inca trail is exceptional. How they do it, I don't know. This is a hard hike but you are well taken care of.
The experience was wonderful. The trek was very hard but Cesar and Federico were always so thoughtful and helpful along the way. The food was amazing, and the porters were so impressive and did so much for us. This was a great experience!
Once in a lifetime experience
I had a great experience hiking the Lares trail and exploring Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. Day 2 was more physically demanding, but the beautiful views made it worth it.
Had absolutely the best time. Our guides Rene and Lucero were so helpful, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The work that the porters did was incredible and the food we had - better than in restaurants. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
We had an incredible experience hiking the Inca trail. We are so glad we chose G Adventures. Our tour leaders (Elias and Edson), porters (#4), and chefs (Orlando and Esteban) were amazing. The experience was very well organized and all of our needs were met during the trip. I will highly recommend G Adventures to others.
I thought this was such an amazing and great trip. Everything ran very smoothly and organized. Our porters (porter group #4) were absolutely tremendous in terms of setting up our campsite and making sure every need or request we had was promptly attended to. I really can't say enough good things about our porter group on this trip they were absolutely amazing. Also, our chefs (Orlando and Esteban) were amazing. The food was soooooo good!! They even cooked a cake for us on day 3 of our trek, none of our group could believe it. I was constantly amazed by how good the food was thanks to our chefs. Also, our guides (Elias and Edson) were wonderful and did a great job looking after everyone and keeping us all safe and organized and on track with our itinerary. I always felt safe with Elias and Edson, and they both did a great job explaining to use a lot about all the Incan history on the trail.
WOW is what comes to mind. Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was a bucket list trip for my husband and myself, and our experience somehow exceeded our expectations. This hike, while challenging and steep at times, is absolutely beautiful, and so so worth it! The morning view of Machu Picchu from the sun gate and walk into the archeological site after 3 days of hiking is so special. We are so grateful to our amazing guide Elias and assistant guide Edison, for giving us a family experience and making this such a special trip. Additionally thanks to our porters and chefs who are the REAL hero?s of the Inca trail by carrying 55lbs of weight through out the hike, especially during the treacherous parts, and for providing such delicious meals, including a cake on the last day (how did they bake a cake on day 3!?) and making sure we were well fed and fueled, making sure our campsite was comfortable and taking care of all of our needs on the hike before we even needed to ask for anything.
A unforgettable experience - easily the best trek I?ve been part of. Stunning views, a rich history, led by an inspiring guide, with amazing support and food. The food and support far exceeded my expectations.
Amazing experience, will never forget it. Our group, guide and staff made the experience even better. The food was unreal. Had the best time
Absolutely outstanding! Couldn?t be more thankful for the experience the G adventures team created for us on the Inka trail! The communication from the start to the beginning was elite and the itinerary was sensational. Thanks for a very memorable 4 days!!
Great! We really enjoyed the tour and will most likely use G-adventures services again.
It was a wonderful experience, with beautiful scenery! Maybe it would be possible to replace the hotel for the last night, with a nicer one.
Incredibly well organised and run trek. Our guides Federico and Nestor (especially our lead guide, Nestor) were amazing! They bought so much energy, enthusiasm, care and knowledge. Can't commend their efforts more highly. The porters and chefs were also amazing! We ate so well considering the remoteness of our locations. An incredible experience with memories I will cherish for a lifetime!
Inca trail was the no.1 thing I wanted to see in the world and it was way more amazing than i could have ever imagined. The whole experience was defiantley the coolest thing i have ever done. Id like to mention that our porters crew 9 and Marco the chef also made the trip extra special. Marco whipping up a cake from scratch on the 3rd day was a holelyyyy moment
Josep and the porters from group 9 are all extremely helpful and kind.
This was a trip of a lifetime and the best experience of our lives. The experience was perfect and we could fault nothing. Our guide Rene and the crew of porters from numero 15 were awesome, so friendly, full of energy, positivity and enthusiasm, you could tell they enjoyed themselves as much as we did. The head chef cook some of the best meals we had in Peru. We felt completely spoilt every part of the journey. Would highly recommend this trip particularly with Rene and his he porters of #15.
Really impressed with everything on such a short tour. I?ll never forget my experience and the staff on the tour played a huge role in that.
It was a amazing experience with g adventures With Joseph and the crew ( porter group 9 and chef marco ) making it very special
Brilliant trip, would recommend it to anyone! There is no reason to arrive in Machu Pichu by any other means than on foot, and as was said on the tour. The trek was amazing, but you could also come for the food.
Incredible experience with lovely locals that shared their passion for their country with us!

We would strongly recommend this experience for our friends and family - hoping that they, too, will be lucky enough to embark on this trip with Josep. We also want to emphasize our appreciation for the job done by the porters and chefs, and can not stress enough the importance of giving them and the guides the salary they deserve!
