Rome and Tuscan Highlights

Day trips from one central location sounds good, but time on the bus each day was considerable, and the standard of the hotel for 6 nights was not up to 4 star standard as advertised. Our room had no natural light and was small. A tour that moves from one location to another with more time in each location would be preferable. More time in Rome would have rounded off this tour better.

The tour director Marinella Prudenza is excellent . She takes care of us like a mother !!!! We like her very much !!!!!! About arrival at the airport Fiumiciano : it’s a burden for us not to have Trafalgar representative greeting us and we spent lots of time to find Trafalgar meeting point , after 8 hours travelling About the hotels : Rome Hotel Midas: the hotel is so far from everything . Not interesting On our arrival : after 2 pm , we have to wait 2 hours to have our suitcases Montecatini : rooms very small , not attractive . Not a lot of lights in the room !!!!! Optional activities : add extra costs About the group : Trafalgar is organized just for english speaking people !

We have traveled with Trafalger for several years and many countries. We really enjoyed staying in one location and being able to take the excursions. Our tour director, Marina, and bus driver, Marco, were wonderful. Both of them made sure all passengers were comfortable. We’re planning our next trip.

Listen to your guide. Marina was a joy to travel with and pointed out sites that another guide might have missed.

This was the best trip I have ever been on it was more than what I was expecting every day was an adventure looking forward to my next Trafalgar trip I have told all my friends and family also post on Facebook Instagram I recommend Trafalgar for anyone thinking about taking a trip in the near future

Itinerary was good. Did 1 - 1 1/2 hour tour then free time to rest, shop. eat then onto the next 1/2 day tour. All tour directors and sites were very informative.

It was amazing!

They need to have better restrauants. The wineries were good but others were below par. The tours were excellent and the local guides were also excellent. People were looking for more time to shop 30 or 40 minutes before leaving the tour wasn't sufficient. This particular tour was billed as easy but walking and average of 7000 steps daily was difficult for several people and a lot of the walking was uphill.

Would love to have a better time line for each day. Ex. know what transportation will be taken and how far away from the hotel it is. Approximately time that will return to hotel. This was Never shared at anytime.

Good balance between guided tours and free time. The local guides were excellent! Truly enjoyed learning to make ravioli and having them for lunch. Visiting da Vinci’s hometown and learning more about this genius was fascinating. Romeo, our tour director, helped to make for a great experience. Highly recommend this trip!

WE LOVED OUR ITALY TUSCANY TRIP, DESPITE ENDING EARLY FROM INJURY, YOU'VE GOT TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL IN EUROPE WITH THOSE STEPS AND COBBLESTONES!! DAYS WERE JAM PACKED WITH SITES AND SCENES. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR TOUR. ROMANO, OUR TOUR GUIDE DESERVES 5 STARS! HE WAS FANTASTIC THROUGHOUT THE TRIP, CARING, SUPER FUNNY, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND VERY ORGANISED. WE LOVED THAT EACH DAY EVERYTHING WAS ORGANISED FOR US, WE COULD JUST SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE DAY WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS ETC. HE ASSISTED US SO MUCH WITH OUR URGENT TRAVEL BACK TO AUSTRALIA. WE HAD GREAT TRAVEL GUESTS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, WE ALL GOT ON REALLY WELL. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THE TRIP WAS THE HOTELS WE STAYED IN (2). WAS NOT HAVING REALLY GOOD COMFY BEDS, THEY WERE QUITE OLD BEDS AND BOWED, AND ONE BED WAS VERY LOW TO THE GROUND AND HARD TO SIT ON AND GET OFF. HAVING COMBINED SHOWER/BATHS, THEY ARE VERY HARD TO GET IN AND OUT OF, WHEN YOU ARE NOT TALL, AND ARE EASY TO SLIP WHEN GETTING OUT. ONE SHOWER WAS SO SMALL, IT WAS ONLY BIG ENOUGH FOR A CHILD TO FIT. WE HAD TO SOAP UP WITH DOORS OPEN, THEN CLOSE DOORS TO WASH OFF THE SOAP SQUISHED IN THERE!! MOST GUESTS WERE IN THEIR 60'S AND OLDER SO WE NEED GOOD HOTEL FACILITIES FOR COMFORT AND SAFETY. WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO DO ANOTHER TRAFALGAR TOUR, THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME.

The places we explored and the experiences we shared with our beautiful guide will be a treasured memory for years to come.❤️

I had a wonderful time. was such a wonderful guide, she took care of us like one of her family members. I felt safe during the trip and I would choose Trafalgar again to travel in the future.

The itinerary was excellent and the pace was perfect!

The itinerary was great. We saw a lot of beautiful places in the Tuscany area. Our main tour guide, Romano, was excellent. He informed us of the activities of the day in advance. We knew what we were going to be doing, the times for breakfast, the time to be on the bus, the time to meet back when we had free time, and the time to have our luggage at the door. He also has surprises for us. He was very organized. He made sure everyone was accounted for at our meeting places and on the bus before we would continue. We also had great commentators at our stops that shared the history and a lot of information about the towns. My crew loved our trip and thought It was an amazing trip with a lot of good memories.

It was wonderful. Wish we had one more down day.

Fantastic trip! My first trip overseas and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Each day was a new adventure! Our guide Marina was excellent and our driver Juliano was a master of the roads! I will definitely book another Trafalgar tour in the future!

The trip was amazing are guide was so well informed. She was caring. She made us feel like family. I wish I would have had a little more time in Pisa, but I think that is just a personal preference. I made forever memories with my mother. Thank you so much for the care, compassion and experience.

The itinerary was amazing with the help of our guide ! She made the history come alive! I left my phone at a store during a purchase and she was handling the problem even before I realized that I had left the phone behind. She talked to the store owner and arranged for a carrier to deliver it to my hotel. She even went as far as having the hotel return the phone to my room! Since our group had many seniors there were issues that she handled without drama or even most of the rest of us even knowing there was a problem! I would try to get the funds to return for another tour of Italy if I could be assured that was my guide. She had become like family with our group!!

There was a wide and varied amount of places to go see. I think your greatest asset was the tour guide .

It was well organized and we covered a lot of territory in the short time we had. Our quide was wonderful and made us feel like family

I was amazed by the planning and organization, Good baggage control and beautiful accommodations and transportation.

There's a lot of walking which I enjoyed, but others might not like as much. Walkways are cobblestone in many places. Tour director was great! Knowledgeable and helpful. Dinner at family-owned vineyard near Vinci was incredible! Great wine and Tour! Hotel in Montecatini Terme was in great location. Walked to shops and restaurants. Tour in Florence should have included gallery with statue of David. Overall, very happy with tour!

Tour Guide did an excellent job in organizing daily events. Saw all the major sites. Other guides at the different sites were easily understood.

Don’t charge for optional trips like Cirque Tierra since everyone went anyway. Also, I had been told that the 48 -50 person tour would be divided in half with two tour guides going at the same time. That happened once, but we had to wait our turn . Our tour director and driver were wonderful and very accommodating and helpful.
