I wanted to see Spain on a tour so I could see a bunch interesting sites in the country. I wanted to eat some good food, see the countryside, see the old cities, explore the good wines and meet some interesting people. This tour was a winner on all the items above. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves.

Guillia put a great self-drive tour together for us and Susana looked after us as we travelled.
(Even when we got lost)
The car and accommodation was good and the guides patient and informative.
Only issue we had was parking in small villages, garages, and cities.
Apart from the parking we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, thank you.

I was extremely disappointed in the tour. The last time I did a trafalgar bus tour with my mother at least 18 years ago, every place we visited had an included tour, with a local guide, and there was no extra charge, just tipping the guide. Given the price of the tour, I expected at least the same this time. I was extremely surprised to discover that there was often no local tour unless you pai extra in several places. but the most blatant example happened at San Sebastion Spain. The tour bus arrived around 10:30 in the morning. if you didn't want to pay extra for the tour, you were dropped off at a street corner, having no orientation to the city, and no map, and told to show up back there at 3 in the afternoon. My travel partner and I had trouble fining that place again even after we had been taken on the city tour by foot. That part of the tour that morning and afternoon should absolutely been included, no question at all. You don't drop people off on a street corner with no orientation at all. The second time that really bothered me was the paid side trip to Baixa. I could understand how the boat tour of the harbour was extra. But surely as an included option, anyone else could have come on the bus and had the option of wandering around that lovely harbour front area.
My second observation about that tour was the evening meal in Santiago de Compostela. The cost of the meal was 84 euros.
Looking at the menus in town there, we could have had the same dishes for a lot less money at any of the area restaurants.
I would not recommend another tour of yours because of the paucity of included items and the cost of some of those as well, plus the risk of being dropped off with no information at all in some place because I didn't feel i could afford another charge.
