Great hotel selections; includes the key tourist sites in each city, and attracts a mature group of travellers.
Very exciting itinerary and great coverage of the most of the Iberian peninsula. Insight does a very good job of planning and executing thus making the journey very comfortable
Nice overview of both countries and beautiful sites in several cities in Spain & Portugal. Vibrant city life & laid back country settings with olive trees, cattle & crops in the countryside. Busy itinerary with a fair amount of walking to see all.
There's always a struggle between seeing as much as possible and being able to immerse yourself in a city. It would have been nice to spend more than a day in Madrid on the front end vs immediately leaving the city after the first night. I would have enjoyed more time in Lisbon as well. I originally didn't include any of the optional excursions on purpose to allow myself to explore on my own. That being said, I appreciated our guide recommending the Lisbon coastal excursion that I absolutely loved and would have liked to spend more time by the coast and that lovely area of town. The carriage museum was ok but would have preferred more time by the coast. I've done group tours before but this was my first experience with Insight. I loved the extra leg room on the coach and having access to wifi and ports to charge our devices. Having the group size at 40 was also great. I'm sure I'll use Insight again.
