Embrace adventure on this Iceland journey with the Blue Lagoon, featuring all the natural and manmade highlights of this ethereal world of fire and ice. The highlights? A walk in the ancient Thingvellir National Park and rewarding soak with the locals in geothermal waters.
It is quite different than countries of Europe . Please tell to your guid/director to talk a little louder as most of the travelers are old ; and face the travelers when speaking .
Our trip was great! We enjoyed exploring Reykjavik, the Western Peninsula of Iceland, the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. Our guide, Mike, and tour bus driver, Lucas, were also very good… informative, friendly and helpful. We felt it was good value since we booked two nights separately on each end of the trip and the hotels charged $500/night! We would have liked to have spent more time at Thingvellir National Park and Gullfoss instead of attending the inclusive dinner at the “Join a Local Storyteller and her Famous Songwriter Husband for an Exclusive Dinner.” He unfortunately is very elderly now and having some dementia issues. She is as well. This part of the tour could definitely be eliminated with more of a leisurely day on the Golden Circle. We did like the optional puffin and lava tour! We also suggest that the hotel in Borganes modify their breakfast area. It was super crowded and we felt it was like a feeding frenzy!!
Most when going to Iceland, want to see and be in nature. This tour tried to balance nature with Cultural stops. Stopping at the Folk Museum in Akranes and the visiting the Black Church were a complete waste of time. I didn't see one person in my tour that had interest in either of those stops. Iceland is beautiful and I personally was hoping to spend more time in the beauty of Iceland. Overall, I enjoyed my trip but would have rated it a 5 star if I saw more of the natural beauty of the country,
Terrific sites filled with an easy schedule of sight seeing.
most of the sites were not informative or entertaining. the black church was a waste of time. the electric plant was useless.
yes. good tour director that helped me in my self drive after the tour. this itinerary is simple and short. my purchase should include the transport arrangement though I arrive 1 day earlier and did not book my hotel with Trafalgar. giving me the transport voucher to airport at my end of tour was useless as I self drive to airport.
It was well done. No details left out. was the perfect hostess and so very knowledgeable. Well done!
The itinerary was excellent; choice of hotels, group dinners all great. Tour Director had a lot of personality and was a great Guide!
Was GREAT tour with good variety!
The trip was amazing, especially the Blue Lagoon. Personally, I did not enjoy the Be My Guest experience (neither the performers nor the food), but I appreciate the intent. My travel director and bus driver were excellent. I also would have preferred more lunch options.
loved the itinerary however, the natural hot springs would be more enjoyable. The blue lagoon was too crowded and felt like cattle going into the showers and locker room.
Being my 2nd trip to Iceland, I was still awestruck by the beauty. Sharing my love of Iceland wit h my best friend was amazing. We both enjoyed this tour. was a great tour guide and having a geology background, gave us a more detailed history of the formation of Iceland. Seeing the Puffins on/around the island of Akurey was too cute. Seeing the fresh lava around the Blue Lagoon and hotel broke my heart ❤️. This is the hotel I stayed at in 2019. The Geothermal Exibition was very interesting and informative. Reykjavik is a beautiful city with a lot of places to see and things to do. Never a dull moment!
I would like to see more important side
This was my first Trafalgar tour. I think the itinerary was planned well and the tour director was phenomenal in his explanation of the sites and his stories about the legends of Iceland.
Some of the hotels didn’t offer things like washcloths. Two of the hotels offered squeeze bottles for washing, but we’re almost impossible to squeeze.
Very busy days but saw a lot. Hotels were good. Food was expensive . Guide and driver were excellent.
