Trek past vast limestone cliffs, meadows, lakes and Tre Cime
Stay in a comfortable family-run hotel with swimming pool
The Dolomites’ dramatic peaks beckon on this 8-day hiking tour, crafted for seasoned walkers who appreciate both natural beauty and cultural discovery. Trek through alpine meadows and pine forests, straddling the border between Italy and Austria, and uncover World War One relics scattered across the landscape. Each day offers new vistas, culminating with the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo—three limestone giants rising above the valleys.
Evenings are spent in a welcoming, family-run hotel in Dobbiaco, where traditional Tyrolean cuisine awaits. A free day to explore Cortina, Leinz, or Bolzano adds flexibility and depth to your adventure.
The USP? The blend of challenging hikes and rich local heritage—this tour delivers an unforgettable journey through one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain ranges, all with the comforts of home at day’s end.
Great time! Edoardo was a great guide!
Great trip, views, the food, thank you Explore and the tour leader Marta
Martha had so much knowledge about Dolomites, she made sure we complete entire itinerary despite some crazy weather prognosis. Everything was organised very well. The accommodation was also amazing, great breakfast selection. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. Tatyana
Fantastic leader in Marta. Fantastic hikes. Fantastic hotel/food!!
This is a great trip - the scenery was stunning and the walking enjoyable and varied. The Hotel was very good, comfortable room, swimming pool, very good food and plenty of it. The staff were very helpful and worked hard. Dobbiaco is a good base with mountain views. Our guide Jasmin was excellent - she was very organised and knowledgeable and planned walks around the weather and she provided a great picnic lunch each day. A lovely part of the world.
The hiking and views were excellent. There were a couple of days with rain forecasted and the tour leader, Jasmin, did an exemplary job of rearranging the hikes and day off to maximize the experience for us. Her knowledge of the area added greatly to our enjoyment while hiking and in making arrangements for travel and non-hiking activities. The hiking abilities of the group were varied and Jasmin made sure everyone was safe and accounted for. The group was varied in age and hiking abilities but melded well and worked to make it a very positive experience. A definite two thumbs up for the Dolomites tour.
I had a great time on this trip. The tour leader Jasmin had great knowledge and experience of the mountains. The days were changed round to suit the weather to our advantage. On the free day I highly recommend doing the 50KM bike ride to Austria, the views were beautiful. Overall a great trip, great views and wonderful hikes
