Wow, what an absolutely incredible trip to the Amalfi Coast! From start to finish, for a first time traveller it was truly amazing and has left me with so many fantastic memories.
We spent the week at the Dui Torri hotel and restaurant this was our "home base". The Hotel was clean and updated the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The hotel staff was top notch always smiling and helpful with any requests. The daily trips were well planned and organized, and I was able to enjoy them all! The food was great and the area had some great local restaurants that were not only delicious but extremely reasonable. Walking the streets in the neighborhood were also enchanting people were always quick to offer a "Buongiorno" as you walked past them in the street. We are looking forward to our next Exodus vacation.
Let me start with Veriano was absolutely delightful, knowledgeable and personable. He made our adventure unforgettable. He answered all out questions and believe me our group had a lot. He made us laugh and showed us things we would never look for on our own. He always Reminded us to make sure we use our seatbelts every time we entered our bus. Looking forward to planning another trip with exodus. Hopefully we would be lucky enough to get Veriano again or someone as professional and friendly as him. Exodus is lucky to have someone like Veriano on their staff.
I had the most amazing experience on the Highlights of the Amalfi Coast tour! The breath taking hikes, fascinating historical sites like Pompeii, and charming coastal towns were made even better by our incredible guide, who shared local insights and history at every turn. The group was small and fun, making it feel more personal, and staying in a family-run hotel gave the trip an authentic touch. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a perfect balance of culture, nature, and relaxation!
Really well organised and great insights due to knowledge of our excellent group leader
We had a wonderful time exploring the Amalfi coast. The food was outstanding! The cooking demos are fun! The staff at the hotel are very sweet and accommodating.
Everything worked as we expected it to (even the weather wasn't too bad). Transfers and transportation were smooth and comfortable. The base hotel had all the amenities, had good food and was authentic Italian hospitality.
We had a wonderful time. Fabulous scenery, well-organised and memorable excursions, great hotel with lovely staff and delicious food, and fantastic weather!
Wonderful home-base hotel for trip. Beautiful room with a balcony and outstanding food served at the hotel
I had an issue with my trip and Exodus took care of it professionally and gracefully. So thank you. In regards to the tour, I would not change a thing. The food is delicious, the towns are beautiful, the route is smartly selected, the hosts are generous and the guide is fabulous. Thank you Severio. I Will be back for sure for another trip with this great travel agent.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. About an hour from anywhere! Weather poor so visibility very limited at times. Could not visit, or even see, Capri or take the planned boat trip.
A great short but intense week in Southern Italy! The Amalfi coastline is great, beautiful scenery and hot weather. Nice Tour group! Good local Leader.
We had a great time on this trip. A wonderful collection of fellow travelers. The guide (Severio) and host hotel team were all very welcoming, friendly and really made the experience wonderful. The selection of drivers navigating the coast road were amazing - such pro’s . Thank you to Eduardo for arranging transfers for our extended stay.- really excellent service.
This trip was an outstanding experience as well as a great value. For me it was the perfect combination of engaging conversation and camaraderie, fascinating destinations, and relaxation. We did and saw a lot, but had time to explore on our own as well as just relax. The variety of the itinerary was also a plus – visiting charming towns and historic sites, enjoying nature, and experiencing “la dolce vita”. The family-run hotel Due Torri was perfect for this kind of trip. Clean, comfortable, and most of all friendly. They made us welcome as though we were in their home, and shared laughs and kindness. We met their little dog and also "nonna" (grandma) who had an apartment there. The food was absolutely excellent, completely five-star. The leisurely four-course dinners were too large for most of us, but varied and always most delicious. We felt bad not cleaning every plate – bring an appetite! We particularly enjoyed being in the kitchen for two nights, helping make pizza and watching the chef prepare our dinner. The hospitality was outstanding. Breakfast was ample, and there’s a nice bar for casual drinks as well before or after dinner. Excellent house wine for only 3 Euro/glass!
Overall, one of the best Exodus holidays we have been on. The good weather (in October), of course, helped, as it might not have been so pleasurable had it rained all the time! A good itinerary, covering all the key areas we wanted to visit, and a superb, friendly, family run hotel with a great atmosphere.
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The hotel was comfortable and the food very good. Hotel staff very friendly Saw everything we wanted to see.
This is a great trip for seeing the Amalfi Coast. You cover a lot within a week. There were 2 hikes for more active group members. There is also a chance to see the beautiful Italian architecture in towns such as Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. Our guide (Sev) integrated us into the Italian culture well and made everyone laugh! The hotel is a friendly warm place. The staff host cooking demonstrations some of the evenings, which was great fun.
The Amalfi Highlights is a wonderful holiday; marvellous sites, marvellous scenery. Basic but very comfortable hotel. Good food. We felt the ambience was relaxing and the trip was full on. The hotel laid on fun evening cooking events.
It was a wonderful trip to the Amalfi Coast, although it was very hot, particularly on the day we visited Herculaneum and Pompeii. Severio was a very good leader. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and I enjoyed the evenings that we had the pizza and pasta demonstrations. On the whole the food was very good, although we could have done with a bit more choice for the evening meal, but breakfast was excellent, although a little chaotic with so many people trying to serve themselves at the same time. My only disappointment was that we did not have a chance to get away from Bomerano on our day off as I would have liked to go either to Naples or Vesuvius.
My first holiday with Exodus and everything went very smoothly. The programme organised by Exodus was just right for this lovely part of Italy and our group leader was excellent. The hotel was good and all members of the group were good company.
Since a child, my imagination has been full of the stories of Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Roman Gods; as I grew older, the romantic delights of Italian food and scenery also inspired me. Finally to have the chance to see it all without the stress of planning a complicated itinerary, having just returned from out first amazing holiday with Exodus, I booked this holiday as soon as I read about it. An impulse never to be regretted!
The varied itinerary, stunning scenery, and friendly and comfortable base at the Hotel Due Torri in Bomerano (with lovely poolside bar and excellent four-course dinners!) all made for a memorable holiday that exceeded my (already high) expectations. We packed a lot into the week, but the pace was not overly rushed with plenty of free time both in the places we visited and at the hotel in the late afternoons/early evenings. The small, friendly group (18 including people from Canada, the USA and Australia) and our brilliant guide, Eduardo, also contributed greatly to my enjoyment of the trip.
An excellent week's walking along the Amalfi coast. There were some challenging steps down to the coast- over 2000 at one point but the views were spectacular. Staying in a village away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal towns was a bonus and the hotel was excellent. The food demonstrations were great fun and very interesting. The staff were very friendly and helpful even providing some rice to put our wet phone in! We paid for a room upgrade as it was a special occasion and we had a lovely balcony and beautiful bathroom. We found a walking pole was useful on some of the walks to give extra stability on descent and on the slightly rocky parts. The Walk of the Gods was stunning and we enjoyed the fruit drinks at the end!
Fabulous part of the world, fabulous company, beautiful food. Well organised by Eduardo our guide, and well looked after by the staff at the Hotel Due Torri.
Good mix of people Excellent team leader Good food Bad internet No warning that hotel does not have a lift
Good group dynamic with a friendly knowledgeable leader
I loved everything about this trip. It was my first solo trip out of the country so I was a little nervous but it far exceeded all of my expectations and I was worried for nothing. Eduardo, our tour leader was wonderful and I made life long friends in our group. The itinerary was perfect taking you to all the amazing sights around the Amalfi coast. You return to the hotel late in the day with a couple hours to shower, relax, have a drink or two by the pool before dinner. Each day is a combination of guided tour and a little bit of free time to wander around on your own or with others. Transportation is completely taken care of even on the free day but some of it is an additional cost you pay that day or the night before. Well worth it to not have to deal with bus and ferry schedules and have it all taken care of for you. Driving is crazy there as are the lines so this was really convenient. The sights were breath taking, each place being more beautiful than the last. The food at the hotel is literally to die for. Each meal is delicious as is the wine. The rooms are comfortable, the service is excellent and I cannot say enough good things about our guide Eduardo who is so proud to show off his country, is charming, fun, funny and beyond welcoming. He knows everybody ! Our group had a blast together and Eduardo made sure everyone had fun. On the last day 5 of us went on a bus to the Naples train station, 2 to get on a bus, myself to board a train and 2 others to get to a hotel in Naples. Upon arriving in the parking lot we were confused about where to go and all of a sudden out of the crowd, Eduardo appeared running toward us, having just dropped others off at the airport, he wanted to find us to make sure all of us knew exactly where to go like a super hero appearing out of the chaos just to help us and say goodbye again ! There were amazing things to see at each place and then a little bit of time to enjoy a drink, gelato or wander in and out of the shops.
I absolutely loved this tour! Got to see all the gorgeous towns and beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast. Our guide Eduardo was a real gem! So were the drivers and the hotel staff. The hotel food was great! The location of the hotel was pretty too, and the town itself was a gem.
One of my top 3 holidays for sure. A brilliant blend of seeing the beautiful sights of Italy and some relaxing time thrown in. Met a brilliant bunch of people in our group along with my friend I travelled with. Our hotel was perfect too, could not really fault anything! Apart from some scary heights on the Italian roads and viewpoints!
This was a great trip! It was very well organised and we had a great tour leader in Edvardo. He was personable and very funny.it was a good mixture of leisure and walking. I would thoroughly recommend.
We arrived on a Saturday evening and on the first day, Sunday, went down to the harbour in Amalfi to get the ferry between Amalfi and Positano. It was pouring with rain to begin with but after an hour in Amalfi it cleared and became a clear sunny day, with a cool wind. It was an amazing experience going down the zig zag of the road down to sea level and the coast below, and better was seeing the coast from the boat, and enjoying the sights at Positano. Day 2 was very interesting going by bus first to Herculiun and then Pompii and being given a guided tour and seeing the depth of the excavation, and the details of the settlements which had been destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius. The following day we walked the Path of the Gods and had a rustic lunch high above sea level with wonderful views of the coast before returning to the start. The rest of the week was filled with visits to other communities along the coast, with time to enjoy restful lunches, and local sights, seeing the scenery, and enjoying the sun until the highlight visiting Capri on Friday, and spending the day enjoying the sights there. A great holiday.
A thoroughly enjoyable trip spent visiting the spectacular Amalfi Coast. We stayed in a lovely family run hotel where the staff were great and really helpful.
There is a reason while Amalfi is one of the best selling tours offered by Exodus Tours. It is a gorgeous place to visit (even in January when it is freezing cold!) I love the variety of expeditions. My favorites were hiking 3,000 steps down to Amalfi, walking the Path of the Gods and celebrating January 1 on the Circuito Tre Calli. I also enjoyed the private tours of Pompei and Herculaneum.
Had a wonderful time on this trip. We were 18 people in our group which is a perfect size something I love about Exodus tours. There was enough guidance from the tour leader and enough free time to do what you wanted. Loved staying in the village of Bomerano rather than down on the Amalfi Coast because it was less crowded and more of an authentic experience. The hotel Due Torri Is lovely and the staff is wonderful. The food was fantastic. My only complaint are the beds. The mattresses are so hard there's no cushioning. It's as if the springs are right below you.
A well-planned and comprehensive exploration of the beautiful Amalfi coast, with many diverse experiences packed into a full-on week. A mix of bustling coastal towns with wonderful sea views, Capri, the city of Naples, walking the Vesuvius crater rim, hiking the spectacular Path of the Gods, the ancient ruins of Herculaneum and (as an option on our 'free day') Pompei. The boat rides gave a alternative perspective of the coastal scenery. The Hotel Due Torri was a wonderful, family-run hotel with fantastic dinners, set in a good location away from the coastal crowds. Its elevation also avoided some of the coastal heat. Did I mention the dinners ? The Path of the Gods was an enjoyable walk taken at a leisurely pace. The spectacular route followed hills and cliffs, and provided beautiful views from high above the coastal towns and bays filled with expensive boats. There are a few steep, but short, ups and downs on rocky terrain. We walked slowly, and I did not find it particularly difficult or strenuous, although anyone with dodgy knees or legs should be careful on some short parts. I did use a walking pole - highly recommended.
A full week of trips and endlessly up and down the narrow switchback roads down to the coast. Herculaneum was a highlight as was the back streets of Naples in the pouring rain! Much too hot for the ascent of Pompeii. The Path of the Gods was awe inspiring though not the easy walk it was described as ...…...
Herculaneum and Pompeii were outstandingly good, seeing the artefacts in the Museum at Naples helped put the earlier visits into context. Walking to the top of Vesuvius was fantastic and seeing Capri was wonderful. Amalfi and Ravello were also very enjoyable and deserved four stars. I felt the Path of the Gods walk had no place on this trip (perhaps only as an option for those who wanted to do it?). I did not the think the strenuous nature of the walk was adequately explained and an overall rating of 'leisurely' for this holiday certainly does not apply to the Path of the Gods. Several of our group would not have done the walk if they had known what it would entail. Positano was lost on me because by the time I had completed the walk I was hot, tired and dusty and not in the mood for sightseeing or shopping. I felt the rest of our day in Naples could have been better spent elsewhere.
A super trip to experience many different features of the Amalfi coast ranging from its mountain villages and history down to its fashionable resorts - a real contrast.
An absolutely delightful trip with lots of stunning scenery, great days out, wonderful company and lovely food. The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been - and I have been to a lot of them. There are no long drives on this trip at all which is great but even when you are on the bus the views are so spectacular the journey just flies by. The Hotel Due Torri is a lovely family run hotel with fabulous meals. I particularly enjoyed the optional evening in which we did a bbq as the seafood was divine. They also have a great cocktail menu which most of us took advantage of.
This was an excellent trip in a very beautiful part of Italy. We visited many fascinating places and stayed in a lovely hotel with friendly staff and great food.
A good trip all round. The welcome at the Naples air port was just wonderful, it set the right atmosphere for the whole holiday, very important. The week was well managed, and exceeded my expectations through out.Hotel Due Torri,in Bomerano, was excellent, Albert Callewaert superb, what more can i say. Well done, will most certainly use Exodus again.
I had always wanted to visit the Amalfi Coast and wasn't disappointed. The weather was sunny and warm all week, despite it being late October. The hotel staff were fab, the food plentiful and of a really high quality - and they catered brilliantly for my gluten/dairy free dietary requirements.
This was a well organized trip with varied activities each day - a good mix of walking, culture and cuisine. It was an excellent introduction to this beautiful area, which made us want to return. Every member of our happy group helped to make it a memorable tour.
A great trip which included the best highlights of the AC. Full days so there was no time to be bored!
