Everest Three High Passes Trekking is a true test for adventurous young adults and seasoned trekkers, combining the region’s most challenging passes—each over 5,000m—with legendary routes like Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Valley, and Thame. This ambitious journey delivers an unparalleled array of Himalayan scenery, from icy glaciers to panoramic summits.
The route immerses you in Sherpa culture, Buddhist monasteries, and the pristine wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park, where rare wildlife like musk deer and snow leopards roam. From the bustling trails of Namche to the wild grandeur of the high passes, the trek offers both cultural richness and raw mountain adventure.
The unique selling point of this tour package is its comprehensive exploration of the Khumbu region—covering every major trail and viewpoint for the ultimate Himalayan trekking experience. Seasoned guides ensure your safety and success, making this a truly unforgettable expedition for those ready to embrace the wild.
We can highly recommend doing this Trek. It is a tough hiking trek (since you will be at very high altitudes for multiple days in a row) but the views make up for it - the landscape is stunning. Our Guide (Sanchaman Rai) explained a lot and did his best so that we felt always safe and secure. When we could not finish the first pass (Kongma La) - Sanchaman adjusted our plan so that we could do the other two passes, even though we lost a day. All in all it was a great trek with a great tour agency. (Hint: If you think about doing the Trek in less than 16Days - it may be possible, but make sure that you acclimatize correctly otherwise you will not enjoy the experience :-). In our opinion 16 Days is the perfekt amount of time).
Sudip our guide was amazing, he was very knowledgable about everything. Def recommend this tour agency and Sudip to be your guide. I will never forget my journey with Sudib by my side.
I recently completed the Three High Passes trek with Dukpa Tamang. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering coming to Nepal for a trek. I couldn't have been happier with my guide for the two-week trek, Dukpa. Dukpa is a ton of fun and a total machine (never gets cold, tired, hungry). He made a genuine effort to make sure I had everything I needed while we trekked together and I had such a great time with him over the two weeks. Safety was his biggest focus and he made sure that I avoided making common mistakes that other trekkers ended up making along the way(and thus, having to end their trips early). We had a lot of time together and Dukpa made even the most challenging parts of the trip (there were a lot) fun and entertaining! Dukpa knows a TON about the Three Passes trek which was nice to have not only for questions but for route planning (this is not a paved road from place to place...important to have someone experienced like Dukpa as the routes change from month-to-month/year-to-year).
My girlfriend and I did the Everest Three High Passes Trek in May 2017. We couldn't be happier that we booked with this operator. The trek itself is indeed very challenging, but if you prepare well and are in good physical and mental condition, you will be able to do it. It is extremely rewarding to reach the passes, and the scenery is remarkable. It's amongst the best things we've seen in our lives! Just bear in mind that nights in lodges are cold and not extremely comfortable, but all the effort is definitely worth it. We are looking forward for another opportunity to go back to Nepal!
I did the Everest base camp via Chola Pass with this local tour operator and it had been a wonderful experience! First, the owner Chhatra has been very responsive and knowledgable in answering my questions and arranging my booking. He was a guide before and therefore he knows the mountain very well which makes him a perfect person to talk to if you have any doubts in your mind. Second, my guide Keshab and Dhana are wonderful. They literally made this trip a hassle free for me. Keshab is very experienced in taking care of a group and caring towards everyone's condition. He is an amazing guide and we all like him a lot. Dhana is my guide and he has one of the most caring and sweet personalities I have ever seen. He would carry my backpack and encourage me to keep going whenever I feel exhausted in the mountain. I wouldn't be able to complete the trek without Keshab and Dhana. The supporting guide Dulip and our porters are all fantastic as well. Last but no least, the company takes care of everything. They prepare fruit every night (so far we are the only group who get fresh fruit at the base camp), measure our blood oxygen level, help us change our flights in Lukla, etc. Everyone of them are super helpful and wants you to have a wonderful memory. They respect the mountain and the environment. I will have no doubts in recommending this operator to anyone who wants to go on a trek in Nepal.
People say treking in Nepal is something you wont forget. They are right, from the first day u was blown away by the mountains and the people. The true highlight was the amazing group of friends I made and guides we had. Ramm and Dukpa made sure every aspect was taken care of. From the teahouses to pushing us up that last little stretch of mountian. I know that without them there would not have been so much laughter and fun. I cannot reccomend them enough
