Fab time, in both India and Nepal. Learnt a lot due to the experience and knowledge of both guides, which greatly contributed to the amazing experience we had. All our needs were met. A big thank you to Ja and Suman.

This was my first Geluxe trip, having done four 18-30something trips previously. This again had an excellent, knowledgable and friendly CEO who embodied G Adventures ethos and wanted to ensure everyone had a great trip. The itinerary has a great balance between activities and rest and pace that means a lot is packed in to 12 days, without feeling excessively rushed. The accommodation and food throughout was excellent, thank you G!

An unforgettable 10 days that everyone should experience. Nepal is a beautiful country with such hospitable, welcoming people. They make you feel so special in a very humble, servant-hearted way. I hope I have the opportunity to go back one day.

We would recommend everyone experience Nepal. It was a star on our travel list. The problem with India is the pollution, although we enjoyed our trip and don not regret going for the experience. We appreciate India's desire to clean up the streets, but sweeping the trash in a pile in the street and not picking up the piles does not help keep the street clean.

I had an interesting trip to Northern India and Nepal. Thanks to the two fantastic CEOs, I learned a lot about the history, culture, people, food and religions of both of these areas. The highlights of the trip were visiting the Taj Mahal (the last of the 7 Wonders of the World to check off my list!) and the Everest flight.

Excellent

The trip overall exceeded my expectations. The activities offered were well planned and the challenge levels were appropriate for the group with some moderate "tweaks" to meet individual needs. It was well balanced between free and structured time. The CEO made sure that each member of the group was well taken care of and his local knowledge provided context that greatly enhanced the overall experience.

Luxury Nepal Holidays

Luxury holidays in Nepal are varied and spectacular. Here are some of them that could tickle your fancy:

  • A luxurious helicopter ride to Annapurna Base Camp: Is there a more luxurious way to get close to the Himalayas than by helicopter? Soar up over some of the world’s tallest mountains and visit the famous Annapurna Base Camp in comfort and style. Just sit back and enjoy a glass of champagne while taking in the beautiful mountain vistas before landing at the base of Annapurna. ‘Luxury’ being the keyword in this tour, no trudging for days or muscle aches for you.
  • Luxurious exploration of the ancient kingdom of Mustang: If you want a luxury tour that is away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist trail, head up to the ancient kingdom of Mustang. Trek with your private guide through the Annapurna Pass, and have the majority of your gear carried for you by porters. Explore this natural wonderland and learn more about its history and culture.
  • Adventure sports in Pokhara on a luxury tour: Consider yourself a bit of an adrenaline chaser? On a luxury holiday to Nepal, you can combine a whitewater rafting activity with a wildlife safari and bungee jump. All these activities will be included in your tour price, they will be pre-booked, and you will be adventuring with one of the best companies. Pokhara being the adventure capital of Nepal, it is a thrill seeker's dream holiday destination.

Travel experience and benefits of luxury Nepal holidays

  • A luxury Nepal holiday means getting experiences you would not get anywhere else. How does a hot air balloon ride over the picturesque city of Pokhara sound?
  • Luxury tours and holidays often come with expert, private guides who can share their in-depth knowledge about a place or region.
  • If you are taking a luxury tour to Everest Base Camp, you can benefit from private transfers from the airport or even get a helicopter transfer straight to the trek.
  • You do not have to carry your luggage in most Nepal luxury holidays, as porter service is part of most multi-stop excursions.
  • Booking a luxury Nepal holiday often means excursions and nice-to-have extras are thrown in as part of the tour package.

Tips when doing Luxury holidays in Nepal

  • If you are on a luxury tour, remember to tip your guides and porters accordingly.
  • Ask your concierge or guide for local recommendations and reservations. They will likely have connections to help you get into hard-to-book places.
  • Try Thakali food, which blends luxury and classic and includes Nepalese, Tibetan, and Indian styles creating a mouthwatering meal.
