Hit the ground running on this eight-day Europe trip, transporting you to the beating heart of glittering cities and the picture-perfect countryside. You’ll know dreams do come true as you admire Paris, ancient Rome and lap up lakeside living in Lucerne.
This trip requires hustle and as long as the clients are anticipating a fast pace, early morning, long bus rides and late nights (getting to your hotel as late as 10:30pm) then they will experience one of the best trips of a lifetime.
This tour was amazing. I elected to take advantage of the extra excursions and am so glad I did. They all were extraordinary. The 3 local guides were an added plus. All were amazing, as was our tour guide. I felt at home with the whole experience. Thanks!
is very knowledgeable and has great sense of humour, he didn't his best to let us see as much as possible. And he always played the most appropriate music, for example played "The top of the world " while the bus was riding on the Alps.
The pace is great. Both & have been awesome too - their attentiveness & service.
Was so much fun but wear your walking shoes
It’s a great way to be introduced to Europe for first time visitors and in my case, it was a fantastic “refresh” of Europe as I have previously been to all the countries we visited on previous trips. I was particularly pleased to be able to get into Notre Dame and the Palace of Versailles! Wonderful experiences both!!
Italy, Switzerland, France.
That it is fast paced That it gives you a sampling and highlights That you should expect to do lots of walking That there may be many people on the tour That Europe is overflowing with tourists even in mid September
We absolutely loved our Trafalgar Tours Western European tour. Our tour director, was simply amazing. She took care or our specific needs and was absolutely available to answer questions at any time. She, was incredibly knowledgeable and very much a part of our Tour Group. What more could you ask for. A tour Director who was simply one of us. and I very much appreciated her expertise. Our Bus Driver, well, cool as a cucumber as he safely got us from one destination to another. , Prego!! One suggestion would be to allow a little more down time between the end of a tour day and a scheduled dinner.
It was a fun filled, jam packed week. I found Rome to be crowded and the excursions were a surprise add on, as you had to pay for all the tours with the local specialist. I was not impressed with who did the Piazzas and Fountains Tour. The Roman dinner was excellent. I loved the drive to Florence though the Tuscan hills and the lunch at the Palace. Florence was beautiful and would have loved to spend more time there. our local specialist was amazing and very knowledgable was very disappointed in the Gold and Leather tours that we were forced to take. I found them to be a complete waste of time. I would have much better liked to spend what little time we had in Florence exploring instead of being stuck in stores. The Tuscan dinner was delicious and fun. Venice was amazing. We loved exploring and getting lost in the quiet residential alleys. Again, the Murano glass tour was a waste of time. The Gondola ride was okay, it was everyone in our tour following each other down a designated route, not very spontaneous. The water taxi ride down the Grand Canal was beautiful at dusk. On to beautiful Switzerland. We got caught in a mountain downpour at our lunch break. It was only cloudy when we pulled into our stop, so I left my umbrella on the bus. I would have been nice if there would have been some extra umbrellas on the bus for us to temporarily use to get back to the bus. Just a thought. Lucerne was beautiful and the temperature was a lot cooler than it was in Italy. The views from the top of the mountain were spectacular. I loved hearing all the cow bells. Again, I wish that we had more time here. Paris blew my mind; it is such a beautiful city. our local specialist was excellent. Seeing the Eiffel tower for the first time on the horizon was amazing and then up close was great. , our tour Director was great. , our driver was absolutely the best. He was an excellent driver, and I felt very safe, even going down the tiny back roads in Tuscany.
Carly our tour guide was excellent and so was our coach driver was very knowledgeable about all our destinations and went out of his way to always be on hand to help. Could not have asked for two better travelling companions.
I was disappointed with the fact that when I booked this tour a Vatican tour was an optional experience in Rome. However, it was deleted after I had paid in full and was at a point of no refund. I am not happy with not being made aware of the included tour timeframe prior to attending the tour so that I could book a separate tour for places that I had gone to Europe to see. Also, in Paris the included city tour was between two optional experiences. So, either I paid for the optional experiences or just sitting around until they were completed in order to experience the city tour and/or catch the bus back to the hotel. I called multiple times attempting to obtain the included tour times and free times were so I could book tours to see the things I wanted to, but no one could provide the times until we got there and even then, it was provided on a day-to-day basis. This doesn't allow me time to book a tour to places you deleted. Our guide, was wonderful. I felt bad for her because I wasn't the only one disappointed with how this was scheduled. Moulin Rouge dinner and show in Paris was wonderful. Lucerne, Switzerland was beautiful. The hotels in Rome and Paris were nice; the others were horrible.
The itinerary was excellent. Very enjoyable. Less walking would have been better. The entire trip was enjoyable and well planned and executed.
It was amazing!! but very fast paced with early starts to fit everything into the day with a lot of walking. I thoroughly enjoyed it but not for the faint hearted or someone wanting some personal time. Highly recommend Trafalgar tours professional, friendly and accommodating. I was very impressed.
Our recent journey on the European Dream Tour was truly unforgettable for me and my husband especially being our first time travel to Europe as a couple. From the very beginning, everything was wonderfully organized, making it the perfect experience for first-time travelers. Our tour director and our driver were an outstanding duo—professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. Their guidance helped us feel at ease and fully enjoy each destination without worry. made every ride smooth and comfortable, while our dear went above and beyond to ensure everyone knew what to expect each day. The hotels exceeded expectations with excellent comfort, great locations, and warm service, making each stay a pleasure. The itinerary although packed and busy struck the best balance between sightseeing, free time, and cultural experiences. Every day was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to experience the best highlights feeling fulfilled at each end of day. Overall, this tour offered a wonderful way to see Europe while feeling cared for throughout the journey. We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to travel abroad. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a seamless, enriching, and memorable experience!
Was an amazing tour, Best tour, guide and driver! So much beauty, and our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful! Bern was so much fun to travel with., Excellent in every way! Had a wonderful group of new friends, so much fun! I would definitely book another trip through you all. Well, taken care of throughout! Loved it all❤️❤️
Best way to acquaint yourself with Europe if you are a first time traveler. Lots of early mornings however there is not much you need to think about because Trafalgar takes care of the details. All you need to do is show up on time! Quality of hotels were good, however some of the hotels are away from the city center i.e. not within walking distance. An additional day in Paris and Lucerne would have made the trip even better but it was still an overall good experience.
That it is a whirlwind tour, be on your toes and ready to go! Most of all enjoy the trip
It was a DREAM! Amazing sights, things to do, experiences were wonderful! We would have benefited from more “little village spots” similar to the Imperial Europe tour rather than so many roadside stops. Going to Switzerland and France was way tooooo long on the coach, having little town spots for limited hours would have made the itinerary much better! Too long of coach time would be my one and only complaint about this trip, consider finding little villages to take up that time!
This trip was fantastic! Having planned several Euro trips myself it was perfect to sit back and relax on this one. Our Tour director managed to fit in as much of the highlights of each city as we could in the limited time we had. His expert knowledge allowed us to see some hidden gems and immerse ourself in the local culture. It’s the perfect trip for someone wanting a taste of those cities or a solo traveller. It’s not a good trip if you are unfit, want a laidback/relaxed look at the cities. If you want ample time for shopping. But it’s a 10/10 trip if you expect to be fast paced, don’t mind occasional long travel days, and want to be shown the highlights of each city with an expert guide as well as some hidden gems. My favourite part was sitting back and relaxing while all the planning was done for me.
