Sailing the Canary Islands

The trip was extraordinary and I will never forget it, mostly because of our amazing skipper and the people we met on the boat. Every person was mature and adventurous in the same way Jason and I are. Our conversations during dinners and sailing time were rich with politics, books, travel, culture and more -- and Kristien our skipper facilitated our group's comradery every step of the way. I learned a ton about sailing and the local islands, and I also felt like I relaxed and received the exact amount of exerise and adventure that I had wanted. Now I'm watching the G Adventures website like a hawk, and I've sent the website to a bunch of my friends who have asked about my Facebook photos!!!! Where to next?

This is my 3rd sailing trip with G, and due to weather it was the least enjoyable. We missed an island, did 1 hr total sailing and had 2 extra days in ports. Not G?s fault but my last two (BVI and Cuba) were exceptional. The people and the skipper made the trip a very good one in spite of our lack of sailing.

It was an excellent trip overall and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to sail in the Canaries.

Amazing! Even though I got seasick I had a great time! The islands are amazing and gAdventures always makes travel easy and fun!

The trip was a great experience. As advertised. The itinerary had to be modified due to the marina not being pre booked so we lost one day sailing but gained one more day on the island, which I personally did not mind. The yacht was not the newest but decent. We had a wonderful lady captain Rita, who looked after us beautifully. She went over and beyond to make this experience great. I traveled on my own and I am pleased to say that the co-passengers were great and we had a really good time. I am not giving 5 points as I think the whole trip was entirely dependent on the captain and her devotion and she may not be there next time.
