day 1Join trip in Puerto del Carmen
Our trip starts in Puerto del Carmen, a coastal resort town on the south east of the island, known for its beautiful beaches and long promenade called Avenida de las Playas, which stretches for several kilometres.
For those arriving on time, our tour leader plans to meet you in the hotel reception at 7pm for the welcome meeting and for those that wish, there is the chance to go out for dinner afterwards. There are no activities planned today, so you are free to arrive at any time. If you would like to receive a complimentary airport transfer today, you'll need to arrive at Arrecife Airport (ACE) which is around 15 minutes drive from our hotel. Should you miss the meeting, your leader will inform you of any essential information as soon as you catch up.
Our hotel is situated in a quiet location in Puerto del Carmen near the old centre and old port. Restaurants, cafes and the beach are a short walk away. Its location makes for a great base from which to strike out and explore the whole of Lanzarote.

Difficulty level of the walks wasn’t in live with expectations
Everything run smoothly and efficiently by Explore with an excellent expert tour leader.
This tour had a varied itinerary, I enjoyed the walks and the extra touches like the wine tasting are what make it stand out. The tour guide David was excellent, going above and beyond for the group.
Very poor breakfast. Paid top whack for this walking holiday. Explore subsequently changed the accommodation to a cheaper option with fewer facilities. We were given a small and limited Euro 7 breakfast with just one small drink. Other guests were able to order a la carte. Very let down by Explore.
excellent walks, amended due to local weather, good food, competitively priced country for food and drink. Able to fly from small local airport.
