Vietnam City sightseeing Trips

We had a really great time on this trip and our guide was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the support staff. The hotels were also lovely. It’s quite a full on trip with early starts on most days to avoid the heat and activities also available for the non cycling days if you want to join in. The overnight train was not such a great experience for me and it seemed a rush after that to go on the boat trip but all other aspects of the trip seemed very well planned and thought through.

Fantastic experience! The tour itinerary was well thought out; fun, interesting and well timed. Accommodations were first rate. Van travel between cities was comfortable; the expert driver knew time-saving detours to avoid traffic delays. Our five-star tour leader shared his deep knowledge of Vietnam to our group in a delightful way. And when one cyclist incurred a minor skin scrape the leader patched her up like a professional EMT. Within two days of the start everyone in our seven person group felt like old friends. A wonderful time was had by all.

This was an excellent trip that exceeded my expectations. Our tour leader, Long, was excellent providing flawless organisation with an encyclopedic knowledge of Vietnam and Cambodia. The agenda made good use of the time to combine a wide variation of visits and activities. I was also fortunate to be with a great group of people which made the holiday more enjoyable still.

The our tour guide and the support crew were amazing, they were incredibly helpful and responded to all our needs, including adjusting the pace to suit the group. The route took us through many small villages and countryside that I don’t believe we would have seen if we hadn’t been on bikes. The distance was easily manageable and the rest days were a nice rest from the bike. On the whole the accommodation was good with a couple of outstanding 5 star stays. First trip with Explore but will definitely use them again.

We felt the 24 hours in Saigon was not well spent. The orientation walk seemed pointless as there was no time to go back to any of the sites as we were moving on the following day. More time in the Mekon Delta would be welcome.

Excellent tour- largely due to Theo, our outstanding tour guide who went above and beyond! Hotels - mixed. Most were excellent but the hotel in Hoi An, despite a great location, did not live up to the"upgraded" category. Food - outstanding Itinerary - overall was excellent, although I thought that the time in Mekong could have been better spend elsewhere; perhaps another night in Hue or Hoi An. Overall, it was a great tour!
