Mt. Kilimanjaro - Lemosho route, 8 days (6-day climb)

This tour provider hits it out of the park on the big wins: safety, logistics, and expertise. Their guides conducted twice daily health checks, measuring blood oxygen to ensure we were acclimating appropriately and they had medication ready to cover any malady. On summit day they carried oxygen as a safety measure that I found necessary after experiencing altitude sickness and the team even provided it to another suffering climber whose guides were not carrying oxygen. Not all guide services have these safety measures! The logistics flow was impressive from the get-go with airport and hotel shuttles. The camp logistics on-mountain was even more so. We’d depart camp after breakfast, they’d have tea and snacks set up along the trail, and we’d arrive at lunch to find the mess tent already set up with lunch ready, just to find it and our sleeping tents set up again at the end of the hike with tea and popcorn waiting and dinner shortly to follow. The consideration that the Porter team put into our comfort was overwhelming. The expertise of the team was unquestionable. The company clearly takes hiring very seriously and recruits knowledgeable guides. Professionals across the board whom we greatly trusted. With the big wins checked off in style, the company goes above and beyond with personal touches that make the trip truly memorable. I think the most memorable for us was the tradition and ceremony that the team brought to the experience - celebratory group singing and dancing especially, even cakes and champagne! Then small things like hot water bottles to keep sleeping bags warm really made us feel well cared for.

I signed up solo for Kili hike with this tour operator. I had the best experience ever. They take care of you and support you based on your ability. You are observed carefully from Day 1, your health and ability are tracked and you are matched with the guides to be able to successfully make it to the summit. It has been nothing short of a breathtaking experience and I personally learnt a lot from how they organize themselves and how they take care of every small thing. Our chief guide was Baraka and he is simply amazing! Very professional, friendly and highly experienced. All other guides were amazing too, Eric, Exaude, Julius, Rama and others.Food was amazing! Justin and Azzez did a great job as our cooks and they are simply great people who take into account all your dietary needs. Could not have finished the hike without the support of porters and campmasters. A suggestion would be to pay for a portable toilet to share and that helps a lot during the hike.There was not a single time that I felt low or as if support was lacking. All the guides are warm and friendly and they can understand a person very well. My guide carried a small bottle of coca-cola for me during summit day and gave it to me at the stella point for sugar needed. They are as thoughtful as this. They are very keen on everyone being successful and happy.

My experience with this travel company was great. From the start communication was so easy and lightning fast. Anna answered all my questions about the climb and gear very quickly. The hotel base was very nice. My driver was waiting to pick me up from airport. The eqipment I rented was top notch. The guides were experts and very friendly. Same for porters. Food and water was plentiful . Medical checks twice a day. Transport to and from the mountain was good.Price was nice. Would highly recommend this company

My husband and I felt truly blessed to enjoy the company, expertise, professionalism, services and quality equipment of Albert and his team on our 7 day Lemosho climb of Mt Kilimanjaro in mid January 2020. Everything was of the highest quality and we miss our supportive team already. We highly recommend Albert's leadership and friendship over what is a deeply satisfying and at times challenging hike. He brings confidence, warmth, experience and expertise to the role, and has built a quality and cohesive team around him from fellow guide Kim, to cook Bacari, camp master Emmanuelle, waiter Sadiq and the whole dedicated crew. The quality of equipment including tents, sleeping matts (the thickest weve seen), hot water bottles and the food was outstanding. Thanks to Albert and his team for making our Kilimanjaro experience a trip of a lifetime.Hint: pay an additional fee for a personal toilet tent - you won't regret it.

I got this crazy idea to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in February and I also decided that I wanted my boyfriend to join me. We booked our trip and climbed the mountain in August with this tour company. Our guides Victor and Baraja were absolutely fantastic! We could not have asked for a better team to get our butts to the top of that mountain. They were incredibly accommodating and very educated about the Machame route and the best methods of success. They were also very thorough about checking our health and making sure we were safe for the entire climb. I cannot recommend this team and this travel company enough!Thanks again Victor and Baraja! You guys were the best!

Everything was great.The briefing before you go is super helpful and their guidance with needed gear saved my butt as it poured rain and I hadn't brought an extra poncho.Used their sleeping bag which was perfect.The guide I had, Albert, was phenomenal, and really made me feel safe and taken care of.All the porters and staff were amazing!

Thank you very much for the FANTASTIC Vacation! From the minute we landed in Kilimanjaro and the professional driver, to the AWESOME Safari guide and experience to the super professional hiking guides, we were absolutely blown away! We really really had a great time. The safari experience was so much better than we could have imagined. We saw so many different animals and so close to our vehicle that we got fantastic pictures!!! The guide was awesome in getting us close to all the animals and very friendly and professional. All the accommodations and lodges and staff were very inviting. We really felt welcomed and appreciated during the entire safari trip. The hiking portion was an experience of a life time! Although my wife did experience some altitude sickness, the entire hike was unforgettable. The professionalism of the guides (Rama and Stephen) and the entire crew was unbelievable. They always made us feel as part of the team and were always willing to help in anyway they could. The food during the hike was better than restaurant quality! I don't know how they cook such delicious meals on the side of the mountain, but we were really really impressed with the taste of the food. We successfully made it to summit and because it was so cold, we only spent a few minutes up there. Rama was fantastic and took our camera and really took some great pictures for us at the top. My hands were too cold to operate the camera, so we are really thankful of the pictures he took for us! My wife experienced some more severe altitude sickness after summit and with safety being the number one concern from the guides, they made the call to bring in a helicopter to get us off the mountain and my wife to the Kilimanjaro Search and Rescue clinic. The clinic did a fantastic job helping my wife and getting her feeling better. As we left the clinic, the tour company did a great job getting us a driver back to the hotel and securing the hotel room for the unexpected night.The entire trip was absolutely amazing and we are really glad we picked this company for our vacation. From all the help from Stasia planning the trip and answering our questions to all the staff at the hotels/lodges/safari/hiking crew/drivers it was a vacation of a lifetime!

We were a group of four and had the most amazing time on this once in a lifetime journey! From day 1 we were well looked after by Joseph, Abraham and our wonderful 15 porters. Our guides Joseph and Abraham were very patient with us (who aren't very fit or fast hikers) and always made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and fit to keep going to the summit. There was always hot food and water to wash our faces and hands and our tents would always be set-up and ready for us as we reached each camp site. The crew made many special efforts (which i won't give away on this post!) to make each day of our Kili journey that extra memorable and comfortable. It was definitely a Christmas to remember!!! We also learnt about Tanzania and our surroundings from Joseph and Abraham who were filled with so much local knowledge. Would recommend these guys to everyone! Thanks Joseph, Abraham, and crew for an unforgettable experience!!!

We booked this trip through a travel agent so was unsure of the supplier when we arrived. We had a proper briefing with one of the staff and she was professional and helpful from the start. We were completely blown away by how great everything was (tent set up, porters, guides, food, etc.)Our guide Joseph was the absolute best, I struggled on the summit day as I was absolutely exhausted and didnt think I could keep going. Joseph fed me jellybeans, wiped my snotty nose and most importantly believed in me. He was so knowledgeable, spoke perfect English and was just very pleasant to be around. The entire crew was smiling, welcoming and it felt that they enjoyed their jobs as porters. They really are amazing the way they take all that weight up the mountain.The tent was one of our favorite parts as the dining area is attached to where we slept so walking in between was perfect. My husband is 62 and he has never been able to stand up in a tent, he was excited. The food also was great, had lots of flavor and variety. Alpha the cook & Emanuel the waiter were so attentive to our needs, especially me being a vegetarian.The schedule of how much we would walk to each camp was perfect and we felt the pace set by Joseph and Gerald really helped us with a successful ascent.I would highly recommend this company as everything felt seamless, the crew sang a song to us at the end and it actually choked me up! They were incredible people to meet. Really enjoyed this experience.

As a couple we joined them along with 4 others we did not know. My wife has coeliac disease and they made sure beforehand that there would be something for her for each and every meal. Often being able to join in with the main dish and then given something separate on the dishes that weren't suitable. She had no problems at all which is crucial on a strenuous climb as this.The crew were all so kind and looked after everyone very well. The guides and porters were happy to work for this company too and was one of the reasons we chose them.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is something that I have wanted to do for a long time and I should have done it earlier! Without the expert and caring guidance of the tour company and the amazing Haij and Maro I wouldn't have made it. The company went beyond reasonable expectations and Haij and Maro were kind, encouraging, helpful and inspired confidence.Thank you everyone.

A week ago now I have just finished 8days lemosho trek up Kili with this tour operator. I can't recommend them enough, they will get you to the top and in such a profession and encouraging way! You won't go hungry and you'll always know what the plans are as you go. Our tents were always waiting for us and the food was always ready and it was delicious! Our guides stanle and Isack, kept a watchful eye on us and were always there to encourage us. Infact the whole team did their part superbly. My summit was not possible without my guides. The company looked after us from start to finish. A great company to choose should you accept the challenge to climb the highest free standing mountain on earth!!

Never climbed any real mountains before. Mt. Kilimanjaro was my dream and 2020 is special to me.Very much appreciated the tour company team for making my dream come true. This tour operator was great from the very beginning. Anna answered every question and took care of everything! I rented several items for the trek and the equipment was nice and new. The hotel is very nice and the food was good. I joined a group of 9 from the US on the 7 day Lemosho trail. The guides (Albert,Exaud,Edwin and Gerald) were wonderful and very knowledgeable. We took it pole pole (slowly, slowly) which helped put me at ease. I was 30 years older than most of the group and not sure if I could keep up! On the 4th day (my 55th birthday) we tackled the Barranco Wall and arrived at Karanga camp for lunch. I was walking around when the whole crew of porters and guides found me and sang Happy Birthday! They escorted me back to our tents where the cook presented me with a beautiful cake! Albert also had a message and card from my friend in the States. I believe the card arived late and the tour company had it "special delivered" up the mountain! Well done!!! You could not have made my day any more special! The summit night/day was brutal. The winds were 70 mph and below zero temp. Our water froze along with our feet and hands. Albert led us up with confidence and the guides and porters took such good care of us. I have a special thanks to Edwin who carried my pack, kept my mittens and hat on, my zipper zipped and made sure I was drinking and eating something. I would not have made it without him. The trek down the mountain is hard on the toes and knees but again the crew took great care of us. Thank you for a fabulous Birthday!!

We climbed Kilimanjaro with this travel operator and everything was very well organised from the very beginning! They picked us up at the Kilimanjaro airport, car was very comfortable, drove us to the hotel. We had a briefing about our climb, so we knew what to expect. Our guides Moses and Rama and porters were absolutely amazing! They are doing great job. They made sure we are very well nourished while on the mountain, food was delicious and that we got to the top of Kilimanjaro safe! Thank you for everything!!!!
