This itinerary is jam packed with excursions to all the most prominent sites in both London & Paris. We took a luxurious coach across the English Channel and stayed at beautiful hotels.
There should have been a little more time allotted at certain sites. A lot of the famous signs had extremely long lines and therefore some we weren’t able to get into and others we had to speed through due ti the activity level of our tour.
Had an amazing time!! I did every excursion and while tiring it was totally worth it. I would have liked a little more free time in Montmartre to see Sacre Coeur and the town. I had to choose and went to Sacre Coeur. Our tour guide was the best. She was so friendly and helpful and just a bundle of energy. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the highlights of London and Paris.
Jam packed schedule-> would've like to spend more time at certain places.
Options! Each day we had the option of joining the group for an awesome guided tour or do something on our own. 90% of the time we took the wonderful guided tour with our tour director and we love it!
Make clearer the optional experiences that are offered at the beginning of the trip and the approximate cost. We were surprised as to how many and how much $ was involved. Organization and tour director were excellent. She was very helpful with all our in-city travel arrangements when we were on our own. The Paris Hotel was excellent -- perhaps the London hotel could be upgraded a bit. We had a full moon at the Eiffel Tower!
I feel there was too much free time.
It was too rushed and there were too many extra expenses such as tipping the bus driver and the tour director.
Wonderful itinerary! Lots of variety of activities. The Paris part did not include going up in the Eiffel Tower, or entry to the Louvre museum. Those are two things that I think people may want to see. We did it on our own by staying an extra day. The remainder of the itinerary in both London and Paris were excellent.
Absolutely a wonderful trip! Very well organized & enjoyable! Excellent tour guide & tours.
I was able to visit some of the most iconic sites offered in London & Paris. The trip was an over the top success.
Descriptive information depicted a tour with many opportunities to see notable travel sights. It was not until the first day that we realized the tour cost did not include expected sights/experiences; i.e. optional experiences. On day one we were shown 'optional experiences' that carried additional costs - for two, nearly an additional two thousand dollars. Simultaneously, our tour director reviewed suggested (read expected) gratuities. My wife and I were taken aback by this beginning. Although we bought two additional 'experiences', we still had two afternoons and one full day when 'we were on our own'. Tour director communication was not a positive. Redundancy was the norm, often a positive so listeners get the point. Our tour director, instead of being direct during repeat, would introduce new (confusing) information.
Everything went smoothly and our tour director, was exceptional. She was very informative and caring.
It was excellent! I would like the description to be more detailed about what is actually going to be done during the tour. Reason is because we came 2 days before the trip to make sure we filled in the gaps of what wasn’t going to be seen. By sending emails to Trafalgar and the guide, I figured it out but felt I was bugging people. For example, the description in London says “tour the Tower of London where the jewels are. And the boat tour through the city will drop us off under The Eye where beautiful views of the city can be seen.” From this description I wasnt sure if the tour included seeing the Jewels and if we were going up in the Eye. It would be nice if it specifically said you will see the jewels and “you will go up in the Eye”. I know depending on circumstances (like day we are at this attraction)this may vary, so maybe it’s just the guide sending something out with more detail about specifics. I got different answers from Trafalgar and the guide I asked Trafalgar before the trip and they said we would not be going up in the Eye and there would not be time. But our wonderful guide said we would be going up in the Eye. was wonderful! She did provide a lot of detail before and during the trip once I knew who the guide was. I think because we were going to London early AND because this tour left London and went to Paris, we felt more urgency in knowing what we needed to see before the tour started to see everything. By just asking her about things we wanted to fit in, she told us when it would work in our tour (example when to fit in going to the Louvre) and was very knowledgeable of the train and bus system despite work being done on the station outside our hotel in Paris. She helped us see the Eiffel Tower at night, recommended a wonderful restaurant near there. really made the trip perfect!
I loved everywhere we went. I liked that London was very walkable. The hotel “The Tower Hotel” was in a great location. It definitely needs to be updated. It looked very old inside. The hotel in Paris was a Marriott Courtyard and was very nice. The Location of the hotel was not as walkable to all the major attractions.
Itinerary was great. However, if I remember correctly, the inside tour of the Palace of Versailles was an option. Possibly not the best choice since it was very warm and crowded. Other options went well. Perhaps a bit more free time when getting lunch or dinner. Tour guides were great and helpful!
Good combination of scheduled group events, selected optional events, and free time to explore.
It was a good itinerary. However, it too closely matched a recent tour. To some extent, we just took the same trip a second time.
The itinerary was great and the tour director was terrific. The Tower Hotel is a problem. Although well located it is a two star hotel at best. In its day, it likely was a good four star hotel, but deferred maintenance, lack of air conditioning and somewhat dismissive staff have resulted in its fall from its glory days. Trafalgar should not put guests there. I refer to the Tower Hotel as the Tower of Terror and if the hotel is still on Trafalgar‘s guest list, I would not suggest this tour to others.
Had a great time and our coach Driver was so great seen lots of places beautiful places I am a shopping girl and I wish we had more time to shop in Paris 🌻
The hotel location in Paris was far from the center of activities. London wasn’t quite as bad but would havre preferred a location closer to Buckingham. Our tours of London and Paris were far from comprehensive. We were told Moulin Rouge was appropriate for 14 year old boy— it was not. We enjoyed Giverny, first dinner in Paris. Our walking pace was very fast. was upbeat but I felt she should have been clearer about tours. Our bus driver was excellent.
Absolutely amazing how many wonderful things we saw and did!
Hotels were located too far from interesting sites, therefore. the cost of taxis increased the cost of the trip. Doing financial business on a motor coach is not acceptable. Time was not provided efficiently. Did not get to the changing of the guard until it was almost done. No time to purchase anything at a gift shop in Versailles. Promised complimentary transfer to the airport required a one-hundred-euro fee. The language in the brochure is misleading at best if not fraud. Did not get to go inside Westminster Abby. Walking tours were at a pace that was hard to keep up. Tour director did not provide accurate information about the Moulin Rouge show. She said it was a family rated show (wrong).
These are two amazing cities in the world to see. The location of The Tower Hotel in London was exceptional. It was a short pleasant walk to many great London attractions, eating options and public transportation from Tower Pier or Tower Hill tube station. It was nice the itinerary included UNESCO sites located outside of London (Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge). The Paris itinerary was great too and the hotel was close to a metro station. We appreciated the itinerary allowed us to work in extras in both cities we did not want to miss.
A great trip with so many essentials that are NOT to be missed!
On the go everyday, very happy with the amount of places we visited.
Got to see a lot of both countries in the 9 days. Tour director and bus driver were great.
The itinerary was well planned with activities geared to various travelers' interest. With the crowds in some of the destinations, it would be great if more time can be dedicated to some sites. For some stops there was not enough time to see more ie. Tower of London. Maybe instead of one huge bus for everybody, use additional busses or public transit passes for those wishing to spend more time at "stop A" rather than go to "stop B" in urban areas such as London and Paris.
I don’t have anything to say. It was a fine trip.
I don’t remember exactly how much I spent on this trip, but it was money well spent! Whatever it was. However, there was one small hiccup in Paris. The tour bus didn’t have time to take three of us back to the hotel once our tour ended, but before the next tour began. So we were instructed to hail a taxi back to the hotel. Ok, see… we’re women from the suburbs of Los Angeles where taxis aren’t plentiful. None of us had ever hailed a taxi in our lives, but we figured how difficult could it be? After about 30 minutes of not getting a taxi, coupled with not speaking the language, panic started to sink in. After a while, we figured it out and then continued with the trip of a lifetime.
I would stress that if you are a married couple that the accommodations at the Tower hotel reflect that you would like to sleep in the same bed and not a room with 2 twin beds. This is not a good way to start off your vacation. Also, when dropped off at the airport in Paris we were only allowed to be dropped off at one terminal which was not convenient when your terminal is on the other side of the airport. The tours were magnificent and very informative and the tour guide () was amazing.
Covered the main attractions in a short period of time. Travel between tour sights was very comfortable. Felt very safe with the driver maneuvering through all the traffic.
This tour hit all the highlights of two major cities and gave us lots of inspiration for future travel!
We were able to see many historic sites and tours in such a short timeframe. It was an exciting whirlwind experience to see so much of London and Paris in just 9 days! The only aspect that could’ve been improved would’ve been having more precise timeframes on the itinerary to make planning free time easier.
This trip was everything I thought it would be. At 63 years old I probably won't make it back to London or Paris again, because there are other places I want visit. The itinerary included all of the popular sights. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable.
Wonderful, first trip to London Paris
Perfect! I would go on again and am definitely recommending to others. Our tour guide was by far the best I’ve ever had and would do another trip just to go with her. the only thing I wish was for more time at Windsor. We were kind of rushed to get through touring entire castle and church. And, would’ve loved shopping time in the village.
