England Tours in Summer

The European whirl was a great way to sample many locations in a short amount of time. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on each area and made the whole experience great fun. In addition, the bus driver was an excellent operator, extremely polite and friendly. Difficult to provide any cons as thoroughly enjoyed the trip. My personal preference would be to spend additional time in Austria and Amsterdam as opposed to Italy/Rome/Tuscany. Am now looking at our next holiday though will be difficult to match the experiences had during this tour.

It was very comprehensive and included all of the places I wanted to see and experience. The highlight was the Tattoo in Edinburgh. Our guide Paul was a walking British history google site and our driver Paul was outstanding in getting us to where we needed to be in a safe and on time manner. Saw so much had a great tour director & a safe driver. My only quiver would be 2 days straight hearing about IRA Derry/Londonery then Belfast. Many of us would had preferred a tour of Titanic museum or a choice of Titanic or taxis re: IRA. So many great shows to enjoy, many comfort stops & photo opportunities. Loved this tour, making great memories

Would like to have had more time at St. Andrew's Old Course. We barely had enough time for a picture on the bridge. I'd like to have had enough time to at least do the putting greens.

As Dr Suess would say "Oh, the people you meet and the places you go" We enjoyed the whole experience of our Back Roads tour of Highights of Britain. Our guide Darren was extremely knowledgeable with the history and local knowledge. We loved the way we could go off wandering but he would always know where to find us. We would highly recommend this tour.

You definitely need good mobility. A lot of walking and climbing stairs. Don’t over pack. Dress up clothes are not needed. Be prepared for some rain, and no air conditioning in most of the hotels. Take a few wash cloths. Most hotels don’t provide them.
