London Tours and Trips

It covered all of the main towns and historic places of interest. I would have liked more time in Bath though. The time in the bus was very manageable, compared to the free time in towns, and free time in the hotel at the end of the day.

Bern was an absolutely outstanding tour director—knowledgeable, organized, engaging, and truly delightful throughout the trip. This tour is definitely a “quick highlights” experience of each country, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The visit to the family winery in Germany and the family farm in Switzerland were especially memorable and authentic experiences. Overall, the trip was nearly perfect, with one notable exception: the overnight hotel stay in Germany. The accommodation, located adjacent to a train station, fell well below the standard we expected from Trafalgar. Had the tour ended there, we likely would not have recommended it, as we were extremely disappointed with that portion of the experience. Fortunately, the remainder of the tour exceeded expectations, and we ultimately enjoyed the experience very much. A very special thank you to Bern—she is truly one of Trafalgar’s best.

It was a trip I had wanted to take for some time. It met my expectations. I wanted to visit mainly Canadian sites and memorials. Sites were impressive, well kept and displays and commentary were well done. Would recommend this trip to anyone interested in history.

We loved our tour and felt our Tour Manager did an outstanding job keeping track of 40 people. Since we are older, it was somewhat hard adjusting to each hotel and the bathrooms per room. Some hotels were definitely better than others. The only other problem we had was making sure we had everything we needed to travel on the trains. While we enjoyed the train travel, making sure we had everything we needed as we sent our luggage on required some thought.

This was a great trip. The number of sites seen and made available far exceeded our expectations. Martine was an awesome Travel Director and Pascuale was an awesome driver. We also loved the high end Mercedes bus.

This trip was such a good time! From the moment we met our contiki crew, I knew that it was going to be a great time. Fran, our trip manager, brought the good vibes and energy every day- making the whole experience unforgettable! It was well organised, with plenty of free time as well as activities in each city that were super fun and entertaining. My trip manager had amazing local knowledge and created a safe, enjoyable and positive environment for everyone to have a good time. It really is a highlights trip and can be very fast paced, with only a day in some places, which is exactly what I wanted. It gave me a taste for each city/ country in a safe group environment. By the end of the two weeks I didn't want to say goodbye to everyone! If you're wanting a trip that shows you Europe without having to commit to travelling with a group for an extended amount of time, this trip is perfect.
