Shared more about this previously :) But I also wanted to add that for me, the highlight of the trip was our visit to the Parque de la Papa. This was such a special opportunity and the work G Adventures does for local communities is admirable.
We had an AMAZING experience!! This tour made me fall in love with Peru!! Such a beautiful country, people and culture. I’m so happy we had Cheo as our CEO to show us his gorgeous land. We will be back!!!
This was an amazing adventure. Lots of fun, laughing and exploring. Local guides showed me things I never would have seen. A great time.
Fantastic tour. Loved the wildlife in the Amazon and the guides there were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The Inca trail was a once in a lifetime experience. Hard work but so rewarding! The whole team of chefs, porters and guides made it a fantastic experience! Peru has great food, culture, landscapes and amazing people!
The Porters on the Trail: Livio- cook, Juan de Dios- head porter, Nilo Tadeo- Waiter, Hipolito, Julio, Dedi, Pedro, Guzman were all amazing. Exceptional service the whole way. The food was over the top!! Nilo was so attentive to our needs. You don't get that kind of service in the States!! Kids get jobs but they don't actually want to work. This crew was not lazy!! I just can't say enough about how magical they made the Inca Trail experience. When I tell my friends about the details with our meals, 4 courses, the popcorn, the guac and chips shaped like a bat for Halloween, It just made the whole experience over the top amazing. The cake at the end was a complete surprise! I loved how they clapped when you finished your daily hike. They are the ones that deserve the applause!! Love every minute of this trip!! Yuber was a blast and knowledgeable. Leo in the Amazon was so fun to listen to. He is a great story teller and kept us entertained every minute.
Simply amazing. A collection of unique experiences, sites and sights in a beautiful country, led by wonderful people who are knowledgeable, friendly, funny and clearly proud of their heritage and country. Each day was filled with new experiences, wonderful food and kind and interesting people. Thank you for an exceptional experience.
Although the hike on the Inka trail to Machu Picchu was the hardest thing I?ve done in my 67 years, I?m so glad I challenged myself to do it. The confidence and encouragement of the CEO made our entire group believe we could conquer the trail. And we did!! Now we are bonded forever.
It was a trip of a lifetime and exceeded all expectations. I also want to note that Hugo in the Amazon was a fantastic guide and that he should be added to this survey. I loved that all involved people were locals. The excursion were great and opened up a whole new world, in Amazon, potato factory and planetarium. I felt confident in leaving some luggage behind with out any concerns. One thing that myself and I know all participants were very disappointed about was the fact that we did not receive a free t shirt that we did conquered the Inca trail and survived the Amazon. I and my husband would wear it proudly. It would also be great free advertisement for g adventures (and for the price we paid a 10 dollar cotton shirt can?t break your bank).
It was an amazing, unforgettable experience and isn't that what traveling is all about?
This was definitely adventure travel with an emphasis on education. It felt like we were there for much longer than we were because each day was packed with wonderful activities. This was my 2nd G Adventures tour and appreciated the upgrades to the National Geographic version. While all of my memories are my favorite, what stands out most was the Amazon experience, the Potato Park venue, the "hidden oasis hotel" in Urubamba, and seeing Machu Picchu after the climb up the stairs. Also - the guides at each destination were also very knowledgeable and outgoing. Loved the whole trip.
