You'll have free time to explore its sacred lanes; we highly recommend a visit to the Basinica of St. Francis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to admire the revolutionary frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue that tell the story of the beloved saint's life. After some free time for lunch (not included), we continue our journey north to the timeless jewel of Tuscany: Siena. Step into a living medieval masterpiece, a city renowned for its majestic Gothic architecture and the magnificent Piazza del Campo—a shell-shaped square considered one of the world's most beautiful and the dramatic stage for the legendary Palio horse race. Here, you will witness an extraordinary open-air museum of marble masterpieces in white, green, and pink. Marvel at the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, crowned by Brunelleschi’s revolutionary Dome, which stands in graceful contrast to Giotto’s slender Bell Tower. Admire the Baptistery, renowned for its glistening bronze doors, including the eastern gate so beautiful Michelangelo dubbed them the “Gates of Paradise. ” Your journey through history continues to the political center of the city, the Piazza della Signoria, dominated by the austere, fortress-like Palazzo Vecchio and adorned with statues, including a replica of Michelangelo's David. The tour concludes at the Basilica of Santa Croce, resting in one of Florence's most ancient squares. Italy was a fantastic trip for us. Wonderful fellow travelers and a first-rate guide. We were able to see and do things that would not have been easily accessible to a large group or individuals, and it was a fantastic balance between structure and free time. Strongly advised

This trip was so much fun for me. Even though I traveled by myself, my group was great and made me feel like I was always a part of it. There was a great mix of activities, and our tour guide Matteo made sure everything went smoothly. He was also always happy to help us plan what to do in our free time.

Smooth, Scenic, and Superbly Organized I joined a 6-Day Marangu Route hike with Kilisa Tours, and the whole experience was seamless. The accommodations in the mountain huts were cozy, and the support staff made sure we were always comfortable. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the mountain s history and wildlife. Everything ran perfectly on schedule, and the company s attention to detail was impressive. I ve done many treks before, but Kilisa Tours stands out for their genuine care and world-class service. Couldn t have asked for more!
