Our travel experts are ready to help. The best part of the tour was cruising- fabulous morning cruise in Naxos and exceptional sunset cruise in Santorini
I highly recommend G Adventures for people traveling alone and want to step outside of the typical tourist locations and activities. The CEO was an absolute professional with great character and knowledge.
Our overall experience was fantastic! One of the absolute highlights of our adventure was exploring the breathtaking Greek islands and learning about the culture from locals. We wouldn't have been able to find those charming villages and hidden gems without G Adventures and without Sam leading our journey. A trip of a lifetime! Thank you!!!
Incredible way to immerse yourself in the Greek Islands. The inclusion of some of the less touristy islands and activities helps create a more holistic experience where you feel like you supporting rather exploiting these fascinating people and places. At the same time, there is enough free time and flexibility to have some more traditional holiday experiences.
This was a great tour with a wide variety of experiences. Our leader was fabulous! And the best part was I didn?t have to coordinate, schedule, and research every aspect of the trip.
I really enjoyed this trip but I would prefer to remove the Naxos boat trip and instead have beach time. And the cheese/farm trip felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. I would have preferred to separate it from the winery trip or remove the farm visit. The cheese tasting in Tinos was great in the evening but we should have gone to the taverna for lunch after we arrived by ferry. We were so hungry and the hotel food was not very good.
It makes me want to travel back to Greece and explore more locations within the country
I had an exceptional, once-in-a-lifetime and unique experience on the G Adventures Walking in the Greek Islands tour. I loved the experience of not being the 'Chief Experience Officer' of the holiday for once, and was truely able to relax and enjoy myself. While it was a fantastic itinerary full of interesting and enjoyable activities, it was also the people that made it special.
Blue seas, whitewashed villages, and sun-soaked hillsides—imagine discovering the lesser-known side of Greece on the "Greece: Walking in the Greek Islands" tour. This eight-day small group walking adventure, starting in Athens and concluding in Santorini, reveals hidden gems across Tinos, Naxos, and more.
Begin on tranquil Tinos, famous for the Church of the Annunciation and authentic Greek culture. Then, ferry to Naxos, where Venetian mansions, winding alleys, and a hilltop castle invite exploration. From kayaking the azure waters to tasting local distillations and marveling at Byzantine churches, each day delivers a new facet of island life.
The tour’s unique selling point? A chance to experience the authentic rhythms and landscapes of the Greek islands, far from tourist crowds—perfect for travelers eager to combine gentle walks with rich cultural immersion.
