Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar
Cho La Pass
Spectacular Himalayan View
Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri
For those seeking the ultimate Himalayan adventure, few journeys rival the Gokyo and Everest Base Camp trek—also known as the Cho La Pass trek. This tour is crafted for intrepid travelers eager to embrace both the majesty of Everest Base Camp and the tranquil beauty of the Gokyo Lakes, all while crossing the formidable Cho La Pass at 5,330 meters.
The adventure kicks off in Lukla, winding through the bustling Sherpa hub of Namche Bazaar before diverging from the classic route. You'll traverse ancient villages, cross roaring rivers, and ascend to the legendary turquoise waters of Gokyo, where summiting Gokyo Peak (5,483 meters) rewards you with panoramic views of Everest, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. The trek continues over the dramatic Cho La Pass, reconnecting with the iconic path to Everest Base Camp and the famed viewpoint of Kala Patthar.
Expect to encounter awe-inspiring icefalls and glaciers, the spiritual Tyangboche Monastery—the world’s highest Buddhist monastery—and an unbroken chain of Himalayan giants. Throughout the trek, the cultural tapestry of the Sherpa people and their mountain way of life adds depth to each day’s journey.
The unique selling point of this tour package is the dual summit experience: conquering both Gokyo Peak and Kala Patthar, while also reaching Everest Base Camp. For seasoned trekkers and those with a spirit for challenge, this journey offers a rare blend of adventure, culture, and some of the most captivating scenery found anywhere on earth.
Many thanks to mosaic adventure, we had a very challenging and adventurous experience hiking through the beautiful mountains. Not sure I would do the tour of Kathmandu next time tho as it took up most of the day, but was very informative.
The trip was one of the most amazing things I've ever done in my life. I travelled to Nepal alone but met some fantastic people along the way. The sights of the mountains were spectacular and really have to be seen first hand to be believed. It wasn't easy and I definitely struggled on a few days but that's what makes my memories greater.
great trek around highest mountains of the world. amazing views and landscapes. 100% recommended
We were a group of 10 friends who decided about a year back to do the 17 day trek to Everest Base Camp and 3 Passes. AND what to say!!! It was absolutely amazing :) From day one Madhav at Mosaic Adventure was quick to answer our questions and provide advise which made preparing for the trip a lot easier and set realistic expectations. Once in Nepal, we were met at the airport and taken to our hotel. The next day we enjoyed a city tour with one of their knowledgable and very accommodating guides (this was also a highlight of our trip). Then the day arrived - the start to our trek! We were met by Madhav and our guide (BN) in the morning and it was off to the airport and supprisingly a timely departure to Lukla (these flights tend to get cancelled last minute due to weather). During the trek we had modest but comfortable accommodations with all three meals included. These are generally carb based (to keep ones energy levels up) and non the less tasty! During the entire trip our guide BN and assistant guide Purna were nothing short than amazing. They told us stories about the areas, their lives and answered the multitude of questions we had and always made sure we were all ok. Sadly one of our group became very ill with AS, so much so she had to be airlifted out by helicopter. What was a rather worrisome and stressful situation was made so much easier with the guidance of our guides about what needs to happen and Madhav then checking in on her once in the hospital in Kathmandu. The trek itself I would describe as amazing scenery with well kept paths and to really enjoy this journey you should have a very good fitness level. The most challenging days for part of the team were the passes but rest of the time the walking is what one refers to as a Nepalese Flat (hilly). I thoroughly enjoyed every moment in Nepal and can't wait to get back there again to do another of their incredible treks through the mountain area. This is truly a trip of a lifetime with added flare added by the guides. Thank you to the entire Mosaic Team for making this what it was and I cant wait to be back :D PS: we trekked 16 October 2017 - 1 November 2017 and had amazing weather!
